Dropped my run time by 30 sec!!

In just under 2 weeks I will be taking my bi-annual AF pt test. The test consist of push up, sit ups, and a 1 1/2 mile run. Now I've never had any trouble with the sit ups; I can do sit ups for days but my kryptonite is the push ups and the run time. I have long monkey arms so push ups are always tough for me but despite my size I am a decent runner. So today I tested myself on my run time and I have shaved 30 sec. off my run time from 6 months ago. Ohh did I mention that I have not run hardly at all in the 6 months!! All I've done is did my Insanity workout for the past 3 weeks. I have not tested my push ups yet but I'm excited to see what gains I have made!     DUDE, THAT IS AWESOME! How much time do you have left with Insanity? 30 seconds is quite a bit of time off. I think that's like 4 or 5 more points added to your score just on that! Keep going...who knows, maybe you'll improve even more from that!

my butt is sore

I took a week off of my workout and now I'm really sore. I'm now doing Insanity at the gym with a freind of mine instead of in my livingroom so I'm able to really push hard and my glutes are really sore :) I've had such great workouts the last couple of days! www.facebook.com/boylefitness

    @hike It is much better working out with someone. I like to workout alone sometimes but I think you get a better workout when you do it with people. @ julie my calves have never hurt doing this, it's always my core and the rest of my legs.

    emoticon Nice! I wish I had a bigger space to do my Insanity workouts, but it works! my calves hurt SO much last night that I was done after the warm-up and stretch and just did weights and abs on my own. i used weights and a body ball for my abs so i'm sore!

I was really excited so I wanted to share. I lost 4lbs already this week and it's only Tuesday! 4lbs down from Saturday. I stuck to my workout (Insanity) beachbodycoach.com/esuite/home/timbo

and replaced my dinner with my chocolate shake boylenutrition.com . I do not normaly check my weight and stats until Saturday but I thought I would just take a look yesterday and I could not believe I had lost 4lbs since Saturday. I know that this kind of results is not going to happen each week, but it was a good kick off to reaching my goal.     Hey Tim thanks so much for sharing your story! Still doing shakeology on vacation. Still trying to track and I lost some weight up front but I've yo yo'd back up for some reason. I've started running more regularly and don't know if it's adding muscle back and that's the weight or what. Thank you for introducing me to shakeology though. I just had my shake this morning yummo! I'm about to go for my three mile run and while I was at universal I noticed that I didn't want all the junk that my friends were eating and felt a craving for something but couldn't put my finger on it. I rejoiced when I found what my craving was for at it was a fruit cup!

I used to hate salad too and I like it now when I do what I call is the Kitchen Sink Salad! I incorporate strawberries, apples, pears, onions, and almonds into my salads and the sweetness makes the salad enjoyable again. Give it a try and let me know what you think.
