Ha, I made you look !!!
It's all my fault. It is totally, positively my fault that I gave in to oral Gratification and probably everyone else's and that is why we are here at sparkpeople.
We all over ate repeatedly. Insanity is repeating the same act over and over again. Yikes. What an eye opening thought. Heck why on earth did we keep picking up that fork over and over again or drinking that calorie, sugar filled drink? It just does not make any logical sense. (thank goodness that I am now making better choices.)
We lost control and were unable to control the impulse and gave in to oral gratification. Pavlo experimented on dogs and found that humans have a desire that some of us have a hard time out growing called the oral stage. LOL. Certain foods like cheese and chocolate when eaten cause the brain to release hormones which make us feel good in a similar effect to drugs. Gasp. They have been found to be addicting. Gasp even bigger. She Gasps again.
Ok, this is good to meet your Oral Gratification when You have those desires to eat. Its a high protein fiber filled low calorie healthy bran muffin that I make. Its a recipe that I modified to make it healthy. I call it my Sunshine Bran Muffins. I typed in the recipie, but Spark ate it and it does not show up in my recipe book. So here it is.
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cups unpacked brown sugar
1/4 tsp. sea salt
2 cups all bran
1 1/4 cup water
1/4 cup egg beaters
1/2 cup non-fat greek yogurt plain
3 tablespoons cinnamon
1 1/2 tablespoons baking powder
2 scoops of vanilla protein powder. I use one from GNC metabolic amp.
1/2 cup craisins.
Mix until combined. Bake in 400 degree oven for about 15 min. You can bake in muffin pan. Makes about 12 muffins. Spark says its about 126 cal. per muffin. I don't have it right in front of me. It has lots of fiber and protein. I like reaching for this rather than junk food. It fills me up pretty well. It is great for satisfying that Oral gratification.
My workout was Physique 57 and boy did it make me moan. My moans are getting louder. I can't help it. As I have been getting stronger and better at doing the workouts I have to go lower and deeper in to the moves to activate the muscles more. The instructor encourages you to squeeze the ball harder between your legs or to lift you leg a bit higher, to do the pushups on your toes. Trying a bit harder ups the intensity so my muscles are a even more sore.
The moans continue. . . Down the hallway. . from behind the closed door. . .
It sounds like. . . is happening. . . Wait. . . Do I hear the knob of the door rattling. . .Blushing. . . I must try to be quieter as I exercise.
Just imagine, close your eyes. You are peeking through the lock in the door. Your eyes are squinting trying to see where that moaning sound is coming from. You see a female standing on her tiptoes swaying her hips side to side, trying to smile, while a lady on television say relax your face muscles, move faster. . . She shakes those hips faster trying not to fall off her tip toes, balancing precariously. . . as she starts descending gracefully down to the floor still on those tip toes.
Then she starts to rise gracefully up squeezing all the muscles in her buns all they way back up. The instructor says faster. Up and down she lowers and rises on her tip toes. No more fat cells the instructor says. . . No more fat cells. . as you gasp trying to get oxygen to the cells that are burning. You can't believe what you see. You must get that DVD realizing what you have seen will reshape your body.
Yikes. I still am sore just thinking about the workout. That was just one tiny portion of it. Yes, I survived the workout again. This month I have totally done great with the workouts !!!
Later I managed to get in a yoga workout. There seems to be some sort of syncerisity happening. Today I pulled out Namaste Yoga Dvd from the tv show series. I was hoping for a short quick workout that I could relax to. There was one with a moon name in it. Thinking it would be an evening workout - well I was soooo wrong. Once again it had me doing a warrior pose that changed in to that pose where the warrior had you bend over with your head on your knee and one hand was down on the ground by that leg. The other leg, well it was in the air. I did it, but after a bit I was shaking and well its so hard. Why in the same week did I happen out of the blue draw two dvds with the same pose? Its like I am supposed the master the pose? I am wondering is there a meaning behind this? Its so weird. Is it considence or is it something more?
The walk my husband I did was about three miles in the cold, grey fog. Once again the geese were coupling up. It was a beautiful site to see.
Well that's all for now folks. Sorry about the spelling. My brain just isn't working due to the MS. Its been pretty rough lately.

I moan in my sleep. It sounds like something out of an erotic movie. My husband shakes me thinking I might be having a nightmare. Honey, are you alright. Yea, I moan. I gingerly roll trying to find a comfortable position. He tosses his leg across me as I fall asleep. Another louder moan escapes me. Honey ????
It happens every night. Every single night since I discovered those special dvds. They make me moan all night. In the daytime I find myself rubbing myself, hoping no one is watching me. My special scent lately is menthol balm heating cream. It brings out small whimpers of pleasure as I rub it on my sore muscles as they sigh with temporary bliss.
I dare you to join me !!! LOL. I bet you won't. Men would rather run away with fear. Most think these workouts are wimpy. Try them for and I bet you will be moaning like me.
Its Physique 57 Workouts. Its a set of 6 challenging dvds that I am doing this month. So far I have noticed another special change. I have less cellulite. GASP !!! My butt is not only Shrinking, but the Cellulite is diminishing. I am not making it up. I never though I would even say anything like this, but its happening.
You got to be tough to do them. The instructor is like a drill sergeant, go lower, higher, faster, slower, you can do it. She says You are a Mean Lean Fat Burning Machine !!! I believe her.

My stomach has been growling so fiercely lately. Its been tough to keep things under control. Looking through the fridge I searched frantically for something to fill my stomach that I could eat that wouldn't blow my calorie target range. I am not sure why my appetite fluctuates so greatly lately. It might have something to do with exercise. Sometimes exercise suppresses the appetite and other times it makes me ravenous for no darn good reason. I don't want to consume all those precious calories I just worked so hard to burn off.
Zucchini is really tasty steamed lightly. I filled a big bowl full of it and tossed it with some Laughing Cow cheese and sprinkled some seasonings on it. It was absolute Yum for my tummy and so low in calories. Bliss in my tummy.
Yesterdays workout was a continuation of my one month experiment that I have been quietly conducting on myself. I did P-57 Express volume 1 Full Body workout. Last month I completed a month of barre workouts. This month I am doing a rotation of 6 Physique 57 dvds which are super tough, strength building, cardio barre workouts. So far its a total success. My strength is totally improving. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to get stonger, increase there cardio endurance, improve there balance and flexibility, and feel a peace in there lives. It releases endorphins to no end leaving you feel super good that you worked out.
My quads, abs, arms, triceps, biceps, obliques, hamstrings, and glutes are soooo sore !!! No matter what workout I do or rotate through they manage to find a spot that wasn't sore and makes sure it gets sore. Even in my sleep I often wake up moaning. No, its not erotic dreams !!!
First thing in the morning I wake up and rub my sore buns. They aren't soft and squishy anymore. They are firming up. The saddlebag areas are getting smaller, the cottage cheese areas are still present but they are diminishing. Its progress folks. Yes its progress on the long journey.
Later I completed Blissology Yoga by Eoin Front Body Stretches with its focus on Energy. It's not a good workout to do before bedtime. I couldn't sleep last night. LOL. It gave me energy !!! I absolutely love his workouts. I can't rave enough about the positive energy that he gives in his yoga workouts. He leaves me feeling totally relaxed and feeling peaceful. His focus is on peace and healing. Since I am fighting multiple sclerosis he leaves me feeling like I have hope or a way of fighting this disease.
Midday I got in some Kettlebell swings outside under the beautiful winter sunny skies. The air was crisp, the leaves were crunchy under foot. Down the hill a magnificant grand white Egret landed in the gurgling creek while some mallards swam by carrying on a loud conversation quacking about whatever went through there minds. The squirrels were playing in the leaves under the oak trees.
One day I want to take a yoga mat down under the tree and practice down there watching nature as it happens. Feeling the peacefulness of life and the energy that the earth has to offer.

My workout yesterday was Physique 57 dvd. It has been giving me such great results !!! I have to report that my results are showing. Now my workouts weren't consistent last month since I started doing the barre workouts due to illness. My measurements show I am down overall 2.5 inches most of in in the ab area and in my thighs.
More importantly that is happening to my body is cardiovascular endurance and strength. Today I was able to do kettlebell swings for a longer period of time than I could ever do before.
Normally I struggle to breathe when I walk. I have always have had difficulty with that all my life even when I have walked consistently. Now that I am doing these workouts, its training the larger muscles so that I have a better cardio endurance. Barre workouts are not considered cardio workouts but for me they work better than any cardio workout that I have ever done at strengthening that part of me. It gives me hope that one day maybe I will have the strength to run. Who knows.
Today I felt like a Winner !!! Like I had control over my body for a few moments. It gave me such great Joy. The migraines I have been having the last few days and nausea eased up. My husband and I enjoyed the cool, beautiful, sunny winter day with a nature walk together.
We enjoyed each others company for about 2.25 miles around a ranch with walking trails that wound around several large ponds. It is a beautiful walk with lots of oak trees and native flora. The wild life is abundant making its presence well-known. It is mating season or perhaps coupling season at the moment. I am not a naturalist, but I am well aware the Canadian geese and the ducks are forming pairs. They are getting into the mood. The males are strutting around as we walk proclaiming that they are the ones and to stay away from their females or else !!!
During our walk I was able to report some exciting progress. We haven't walked for a bit due to the holidays and I have been under the weather will illness. So during the mean time I have been doing dvds at home. Particularly P 57 dvds. This walk is always very hard for me since I have MS and its 2.25 miles long. It is filled with several big steep hills that always leave me feeling like I am gasping for air and struggling to climp up them at a snails pace. They are at the end of the walk when I am worn out to make it even more of a challenge.
Well today I concquored the Hills !!! I walked up them at a brisk pace and I did it talking without gasping for air !!! When I got to the top I did a happy dance with my cane in the air feeling like I conquered the hill. Then later we got to the second hill and I beat it also !!! It was followed by a second happy Dance !!! So if your ever in town and you see this lady waving her cane around doing a happy dance its probably me. LOL.
Have you ever felt totally crushed and defeated in your life. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis a few years ago. Its been quite life changing. Not the diagnosis but rather the effect of the disease, how it messes with you. Often I walk into walls from lack of balance. How one day you can walk and the next day you can't. How one moment you can get up out the a chair with out help and the next time you need someone to help you because your muscles just won't work. Or you try to get words to come out of your mouth but your brain doesn't express the thoughts and your tounge is too heavy to say the words without it sounding slurred like you are a drunk retard. When you go to walk you don't know if your muscles will stiffen up like a penguin and you will wobble from side to side like frankenstein or if your legs will suddenly buckle and you end up on your face. Its totally a mysterious disease that challenges one to know end.
The exercise I am doing kettlebells, resistance bands, yoga, barre, all seem to be helping to repair the damage that is done by the disease. It seems to help retrain the neuropathyways perhaps. It seems overall that there is improvement. So never ever give up. I still have ups and down, but I am improving.
Well these Barre workouts are really helpful for me. I just thought I would share the results. Overall, out of all the workouts I think they are extremely helpful !!!
