Setting mini goals.

Saturday, September 26, 2009

I've decided to do what many many others on this site have done and set up some mini goals for myself. Looking at the end goal weight, it just looks too far away and it's discouraging so, I'm setting little 10lb goals and I'll reward myself somehow when I finish one. I'll see how it goes in comparison to what I've been doing to see if it helps me or not.

I really want to get a digital scale, but I don't think my mom would be cool with that since we just bought a normal one not too long ago. :/

rewards along the way have recently kept me motivated moreso than I have ever been. I set my rewards as things I really, really want. It sucks that I have to wait.. but it keeps my head on straight! good luck emoticon

Digital scales are wonderful. Ours died, and, trying to save money, I replaced it with a regular one. I really hate it, but it'll probably last forever! You're on the right track with setting small goals. I did that this week, and it's helped me to have a better week. I didn't meet all my weekly goals, but I tried, which was more than I've been doing.

Ugh, stupid pizza.

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Due to my mom refusing to go to the grocery store, we had to go get something for dinner since there was nothing in the house to eat.

My sister suggested pizza, mom agreed that was a good idea and I just went along with it. I've been sticking pretty well to my veganism, but today I kind of strayed since I was really hungry and there was no food. Papa john's had some sort of online special (sister was talking about it) so, I got just a plain, large cheese pizza for 25 cents since that's what the special was.

I put what I ate into spark people and now I regret eating it, big time. I mean, I was hungry, but I could have gotten something else... It just sucks. :/

Hey there. I'm not sure if it meets vegan guidelines, but it does for vegetarian. I splurge sometimes and get a small, thin crust pizza from Dominos (everyone has it I'm sure). I make sure they understand that I do not want any meat on my pizza nor cheese of any kind. So basically I end up with onions, mushrooms, olives, and green peppers with cooked sauce on bread. :) It's soooo good though!

I don't know what to eat. :(

Sunday, September 20, 2009

Today I'm chugging water and plan to play DDR if no one protests that I'm using the TV. If I can't DDR, I'll go walk if it doesn't rain again. Reason for that is I feel guilty about pigging out on hibachi veggies and rice last night (and the rice again for late night snack as well as breakfast this morning) and I feel like I need to go work that off.

Today will probably be the last day I eat chips and salsa since the salsa is almost gone.

Also, I have no idea what to have for dinner. I'm trying to cut back on eating so much bread and crackers as well as overly processed foods, they make me feel pudgy. I can't eat soup without having a ton of crackers in it, to the point where it's no longer liquid, but mush instead. Oatmeal? A Smoothie? Just fruit? That's all the options I have since returning to veganism and we haven't gone grocery shopping this week yet.

Haven't made a blog on here lately.

So, it's raining here today and as much as I love rain, I kind of wanted to go outside and walk today, but I played Dance Dance Revolution instead for my cardio, which I think is just as good.

I still need to do my strength training exercises and get a shower. I feel so awkward when my dad is home though, he asks so many questions about everything you're doing and why you're doing it, etc etc.

I'm excited that I got my girlfriend to join Spark People, that way we can help each other be healthy. She wants me to stop eating chips with salsa, but I don't know what else I can eat salsa with. I should look up some recipes.
