My Schedule is Off!!!

My sister's Mother in Law has been in ICU since last Friday, so I've been helping sit with her at the hospital. So my schedule has been crazy, since I live an hour from the hospital, and go at different times each day. I'm so grateful to have a flexible schedule to be able to spend the time with her, but my workouts have been suffering a bit. Didn't get my normal cardio in yesterday and today finished my workout at 10pm! So I'm still getting it done, just challenged.

On a good note, 2nd day of week 1 of the 100 push up challenge and I completed it today. 5 sets totalling 100 pushups. The goal is to do 100 consecutively, but even to just do 100 blows my mind!

A new Shapes gym is opening near me, going to the Open House tomorrow, considering joining it as it offers 55 classes like the Cardio and Body Pump as well as Kickboxing. We'll see...

Long Day!

I'm not what you would call a morning person. I normally get up when I wake up (benefit of working for myself), but today because I was going to be sitting with a relative in the hospital most of the day, then teaching a training class this evening, I knew I had to get up early and get my run in. So I ran 3 miles at sunrise, then got ready to go for the day. It felt good to get it in. I could have easily said I'll skip today and work out tomorrow, but I couldn't do it. Tia of 6 months ago would have done it, but not the Tia of today! Woo Hoo!

Hit New Goal Today!

I doing the 100 pushups challenge (which I found from SP). After doing my exhaustion test on Monday (I did 31 nonstop good form pushups), I started my first training workout today. The goal was to do 5 sets, with a minute rest which would total 80 pushups. I actually did it! I couldn't believe it! Had I known I would be doing 80 pushups, I probably would have told myself I couldn't do it, but I didn't add them up until afterward! The most I had ever done with rest in between was almost 40, so this was just such a huge accomplishment! I love pushups and I want those defined triceps!!! I will do this!

Maybe the secret is to "not count" as you said, and just keep pressing on. I'll have to try that next time. :)

Loving myself - Doing this for me!

I have finally realized that I'm on this journey for me and it's making me love myself so much more and respect myself! I've always started and stopped because I didn't make eating healthy and working out a lifestyle. Now it truly is, and I'm so excited! I'm watching the Biggest Loser as I write this, and it's so inspiring to me! If they can do it, so can I and I will!!!
