Today was my first day since before the challenge that I didn't have to "work" on the challenge. I think I've got just about everything taken care of, templates, trackers, etc.
Organizing this challenge so far is already rewarding beyond words. To hear people talk about life changes they're making, seeing people make new friends, seeing someone that was drinking 24 cans of soda a day, now drinking two and drinking over a gallon of water a day - WOW! I'm so inspired by everyone's commitment to themselves.
Sometimes we just get busy with life and stop to think how the decision we're making now will affect us 5-20 years later. Many people doing this challenge will make lifestyle changes that will save them from having heart attacks, getting diabetes, etc. I am so thankful to my friend Jennifer who had the idea and suggested I organize this. Funny thing is, Jennifer isn't even doing the challenge, though she told me she needs to lose 50 lbs. Oh well. I'm just glad I took her up on the idea. This challenge keeps me focused on doing the right things for myself even more.
I just know that when these 90 days are over, I will have made some lifetime friends.
Really enjoying the process.

Ok, so when I decided to do this, I had no idea it would be this much work up front. I'm not complaining because I'm loving the entire process. At least once I have everything down, when (or if) I do this again, it will be much smoother. But I have spent several hours a day logging, tracking, reviewing, etc. for the team. Now, the majority of the work is done.
It is so fulfilling, seeing people make positive changes in their lives. It keeps me motivated knowing I want to be a good example for everyone as well. Especially having people get on the Sparkpeople site. I've learned so much from SP this year and I know others can benefit the same way, and having a competition just takes it to the next level!
Getting used to getting up earlier and working out. Great thing is that it's done for the day, and it's so much fun working out with a friend (Grace).
Just loving life and enjoying the process!

Ok, so my plan was to use today for my day off of working out. Then, my wonderful husband comes home and wants to take me out for a glass of wine. So we grab a bite from a place called Cosi at Shoppes at Wiregrass and had the smallest sandwich I had ever seen! I couldn't believe how tiny this thing was. But it was filling, with the tomato basil soup. So I had less than 500 calories there. Then we had our glass (ok, two glasses) of wine. So on the way home, I decided I HAD to work out. So went to the gym at 8:30pm and did the Glider for 30 minutes, burned 311 calories, so got rid of the 200 calories from the wine!
Long story short (too late I know), I treated myself, but I worked it off! So no guilt!
On to Day 6!

I'm so sore from my workout yesterday, but didn't let it stop me! Did 40 minutes of cardio with Grace, then got home and ran 2 miles. I just felt really good! I forgot to mention that yesterday my personal trainer told me my workout pants were too big to be wearing! That's a good thing, so after the workout Grace and I went shopping and got some new workout clothes!
Ok, I can officially say I tried to eat cottage cheese, but it literally makes me gag! I'll use it in recipes, but I can't eat it straight!
Day 4 of the SS Challenge. It was a little quiet today, so I think I'll touch base with many of the teammates tomorrow! Looking forward to the first weigh-in this Sunday!
Enjoying the process!
