I survived the yoga challenge! I have a few favorites and will try to continue to do them when I am stressed. I was totally annoyed when this challenge was posted, but decided to do my best. I would not want to do them in front of someone who knows even a little about yoga, but I did them to the best of my ability.
What I am most excited about this week is being DONE with my 150's. I weighed in on Friday at 149.2!!! I did pop up over the weekend, but I knew it was water gain, and I am back at 149. My personal goal is to be at 148 by the end of the month; and to lose 3 pounds next month getting me to 145. I have been setting 5 pounds a month challenges for myself and that has seemed to work well. I may decide to lose another 5 after Jeff leaves for Baylor in August...we'll see.

I know this is middle of week three, but better late than never!
Week two was good -- I lost 1.8 pounds, but 149 has aluded me yet another week. I want it so bad!! I made a taco casserole on the Thursday night before weigh in, and even though I used lower sodium taco seasoning, I know the sodium content was high. I wasn't surprised on Friday when I was at 151.2, which was a pound higher then Thursday morning. Ugh!! If I even walk by a table with salt and I will retain water! I really try to watch it but a few of my favorite foods have a lot of sodium in it. There is a restaurant here called Alamo Cafe -- has great Tex Mex food. I got the vegetable fajitas (had them cook them in no oil or seasonings) rice and borracho beans. My fajitas were fabulous, but as I was eating the rice and beans all I could taste was the salt. And yep...up a pound the next day! I try to limit the foods that I know are higher in sodium -- I allow myself one or two higher sodium days a week and try to minimize the rest of the week. As long as I know the gain is water, I am ok with that. Lesson learned...don't have a higher sodium day on Thursday's!!

I am an accountant; I love to count...I even keep one of those stat books when I go to a baseball game to count pitches (my son is a pitcher). That is why Sparkpeople has worked so well for me. I faithfully count my water, my calories, my fitness and my weight.
I also LOVE to be challenged, which is why I signed up for the Spring into Summer Challenge. I lost 80 pounds 5 years ago (my highest weight was about 224, that I know of) and slowly put back on half. I did have health issues, but I now know that was probably just an excuse. My office put out a weight loss challenge last August that ran through January. We were on teams and my team of four lost 93 pounds...19 of those were mine! Three of us were using Sparkpeople. The best part is that we beat out 92 other teams and won first place...the prize being $500 per team member. While on that challenge, my motto was that I want to be the "Hot Mom" at my sons HS graduation in May.
What I would love to gain from this challenge is a fun way to lose my last 8 pounds; and friends that will keep me going strong when I start the hardest part of this journey...maintenance. I can lose the weight...I have to fight harder to keep it off.
I posted my starting stats on the thread, but I will add them here too.
Pre Challenge Stats
Here are my numbers - 154
Waist: 29 3/4
I know with the help of my DONE girls, I will reach all my goals and have a great time along the way.
