R4P2 - Day 16Friday, March 05, 2010
Life got a little busy for me, especially this week. While my husband and I were away last week, Boston and the rest of the Northeast was hit with a tremendous amount of rain (and other winter might). Our sump pump didn't turn on because our power was out for a few days. The end result: I went to the finished basement to retrieve tax information two days ago and discovered the flooded mess. Oh, what a frickin' mess! Household items topsy turvy and boxes crumbling from water damage. What I'm most upset about are the photographs, letters, and diplomas really damaged by the water. ![]()

Hi Cammie, So sorry to hear about your basement, that's so cruel. Seems like you can't catch much of a break lately. Hope the cleanup goes well. If I lived anywhere close I'd come help. Heck the way things are I wouldn't mind hopping on a plane to come help, get away from "my stuff" for awhile. Good luck with getting to your goal for this round. I know you will get there! Take care!! Report Inappropriate Comment |

Hey Cammie: I walked into a flooded basement once....... I feel for you!! hope the clean up goes ok. Glad you are doing ok. I am on VLCD 4 and the loss already slowed this morning - still not all the load weight off... grrrrr. I think I am going to stop weighing myself so I don't get frustrated. When you get back from your sister's we should meet 1/2 way or something.... let's put faces to the names. Stacey Report Inappropriate Comment |

It kind of just happened. I'm in Arizona visiting my sister, away from my darling husband, with little distractions. Arizona has some delightful weather this time of year, and I'm enjoying the hiking trails in Sierra Vista. There is a different kind of beauty here than what you would find in the Northeast. Visiting is wonderful, but I think I would miss the hustle and bustle of the city eventually.
My sister had some hcg left from her previous round, and she didn't want to throw it away because it was going to soon expire. I thought "Okay, it has only been three weeks but I'll going to do another short round". Perhaps this is foolish of me, but I didn't feel like waiting another 3 weeks. If anything I can turn this into a learning experience, and pass on the information that I find out. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work.
Start of Round 4 stats:
Pre-load weight: 187.5
Load weight: 192.8 (Oh, it was a good load filled will all the delights of Southwestern food!)
VLCD Day4: 185.2
I can say that I'm not hungry at all this round. I made fudge yesterday for the officers in my sister's company, and did not partake in any of it, not even the tiniest bite! As I've stated before: all rounds are different. This round, I could care less about eating. This is a welcome relief because the last short round I did back in January I was ready to fry up our hamster, Beanie (http://schwabcenter.com/beanie/).
Has anyone else not waited the full 6 weeks between short rounds? I'm slowly breaking from my purist Simeon ways as far as timetable goes. However; I am following the eating protocol listed in Pounds and Inches.

I am willing to experiment this time too, Cammie. I wonder if I am getting cocky!! lol But, since my period should arrive in the next 10 days or so I may wait. I wonder if I could load on heavy flow days.. I am thinking about doing that. I am sure you will do well. Keep us posted though. I have heard of people going through clinics who are told they can do short rounds after doing 3-4 week breaks. Report Inappropriate Comment |

i have done short rounds as well.. it all depends, on if you stick to them or not.. if you dont stick to them then you will gain back, and then you have to lose that weight all over again.. (i have done that where i lost 20lbs and then i gained it back, and then i had to loose it again.. (which i did) but you gotta have that mind frame set in, no bread, no bread.. lol that is a downfall for me at work, cause we have yummy bread for sandwhiches and cookies.. and i could eat like a whole platefull of cookies in one sitting.. so but otherwise it does work, you just need to follow through on P3 afterwards.. good luck! im looking forward to see how you do!
