A beautiful day

Wednesday, May 21, 2014

It has not been quite as warm today as it was yesterday. A slight breeze from the North make it seem not so warm. It was welcome after the warm night that we tried to sleep through last night.

We got the AC cleaned out and running. It was not as bad as we had suspected that it would be. We are ready for whatever is ahead now!

Glad you got your AC going. We are supposed to be in the upper 80's tomorrow. It cools way down here at night so we use fand to cool the house down then and close the house up days. That works till it starts getting really hot.

It's a warm day!

Tuesday, May 20, 2014

We have been so busy that we haven't gotten the air conditioner cleaned out after the big dirt blow. I am afraid to turn it on for fear that it will just blow dirt all through the house. I have stayed pretty cool just by keeping the doors and windows closed and running the fans. Maybe we can get it done on DH'S next days off!

So many things to take care of before the final day. Will have to clean house again, I can see. Always something!

Hope you get the AC cleaned out. You don't want to be hot after surgery! I think I would have the heating and cooling guys out for a seasonal check and pay them to do it. DH might differ on that though! Good luck getting it done!

Stay cool and relax - I know there are lots of things you'd like to get done, but none as important as taking care of YOU!

Hello

Monday, May 19, 2014

I've made it back again, finally. I have had so much family here to see me. My brother stopped by and my oldest son was her for a couple of days. He will be coming back to be here for my surgery and he may be the one taking care of me for a day or so. I have been pretty busy trying to get everything done for when I will be down but it seems that there is always something else that comes up.

Thank you so much, my faithful friends, you can never know how much you mean to me. Thank you for the thoughts and prayers!

Hang in there. It is so hard to wait for the surgery when you would rather have it all over with. Try to get your mind off it if you can and find things to enjoy. I'll be thinking of you and praying for a good outcome.

Making lemonade

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

My dear Spark Friends, As the old saying goes, " when God gives you lemons, make lemonade" As many of you know I have been pretty lax on being here as much as I should be for the last two months. I was diagnosed with breast cancer last month and I have been running to the Dr.s a lot lately. Yesterday I had an appointment and we were given our options on how to fight this disease. Considering my age we have opted for a bi-lateral mastectomy which will happen on the 27th of this month. This is as close to lemonade as I can get at this time and I continue to stay upbeat and confident in my belief that God is merciful and everlasting.

Thank you, dear friends, for all of your prayers and please continue to send them my way. One can never have enough! Love you all

Oh, Lee - when you needed additional testing I suspected it could be something like this. You are right. God IS merciful and everlasting. You will not be alone on a single step of this journey. And we will continue to keep you in our prayers.

I will continue to keep you in prayer. I am sorry that you are having to go through this, my friend. Don't worry about having been lax. You concentrate on fighting this cruel disease. We will be here pulling for you.

I am a breast cancer survivor and had to have a mastectomy. Too advanced for a lumpectomy so the choice was out of my hands. This was 1993 at the age of 45. I will be praying for you and here if you want to talk about what to expect.

Windy today

Wednesday, May 07, 2014

Today is DH's day off and we have some business to take care of so I am taking a day off from my exercises. Need to go into town and go to the court house and to the bank. This evening we are meeting DH's family for dinner in the city. We haven't been together since our New Year's eve party so lot's of news to catch up on. It should be a fun, relaxing evening
