I have gotten done here in good time today. I have interrupted my exercises only just a little bit today and have my desk organized. I bought a three drawer organizer the other day when I went to town so I now have a place for pens and pencils, lead, paper clips, etc. It sure makes a difference in my little corner of the room!

Although I have not been able to make it to the full calories that they say I need, I have added almost 400 calories to my daily intake. I was feeling pretty low last night, since I was so full, thinking that I would gain so much weight that I would be set back for a month. When I weighed this morning I was down 1.3 pounds after no change for two days. I've got my fingers crossed that I may be on the right track!

Mixed up

It's been a mixed up day! I did get my walking and cycling done along with dusting and running the vacuum and sorting and shredding some documents. I guess that I have most of the evening to finish the other things that I wanted to do today as DH will be working late again! It has been a good day for me!

I have been getting this big RED message on my fitness page telling me that I needed to change either my exercise plan or my nutrition plan. Since getting the Fitbit it sends all of the information to SparkPeople account. I was getting way over what I had figured for my cardio each day and was not eating enough to be right. Since I want to keep getting the 10,000 steps a day I changed my nutrition plan, quite a bit. I hope that I can eat that much food in a day. I will not question whether or not the calories figured automatically by SparkPeople is right as I have seen this work before. It's just hard to believe that if you are eating this much and not losing weight how can you lose weight if you add more food? I'll give it an honest try!

    Hello Sparked Friend.. I asked about your fit bit awhile back and I think that I may invest in one.. o.k. this is what I found in reference to your intriguing question. This answer made since to me:

To lose weight, you have to expend more energy than you consume. And if you could do that simply by using fat stored in the body, you would be mostly fine. But you don't. As you expend energy from fat stores, you also use up some of the finite stores of critical compounds in your body - proteins, vitamins, specific fatty acids, sodium, water. If you are not getting these things from ongoing food intake, your body will either do without and malfunction, or it will cannibalize existing sources within the body, causing damage to existing tissues. And the body is not selective when this happens - the heart muscles can be cannibalized as easily as any other muscle.

This is exacerbated when significant exercise is added to food restriction. The exercise breaks down and stresses muscle tissue, so additional protein is required to rebuild these. Also, exercise causes sweating, so dehydration/sodium deficiency can become a problem.

So it's a emoticon I guess.. ? The question that you've come up with is something that we all need to be aware of. Thank you for high-lighting this for us.
