Our days off were over as of this morning and it was back to work as usual! DH was gone by 6 AM and I was working out shortly after that. It is cold and rainy here today, in fact, I have turned the furnace on! It is still only 41 degrees outside at 3:30 PM. Guess that I will have to catch the weather tonight to see if it will snow tonight! DH called a while ago and he will be working late, our son was called in to his job early so the dogs and I are quite alone here. The dogs are napping right now so it's pretty peaceful! I am listening to Pandora while I am working on my SparkPeople.

DH was home on his day off so we took off around noon and went to town. We hit all of the stores just looking at all there was to see. We wanted to get DH an I-pad and one of the stores had one advertised on sale. They didn't have one and were not giving rain checks so we went hunting. We finally found one but it took most of our day! Thankfully I had done a lot of my exercising before we left. We took a lot of back roads and got to see lots of scenery that we hadn't seen for awhile. We had a wonderful day just spending the time together! I hope that it warms up some before next weekend as we have a camping trip planned with DH's brothers and their wives. It might not be so much fun camping in the snow!

Relaxing

I worked hard yesterday afternoon and evening so I am taking the evening off tonight. I have to fix dinner of course but after that the evening is mine! I am not sure if I will read my book or watch TV. I guess it depends on what DH has on for his viewing pleasure, I don't always like what he is watching. I have gotten all of my exercises done and my strength training, as well. Feeling pretty good about that! I guess I need to consider getting things ready for Winter around here. I hear that it is on the way!

It is really cool here today after the rain yesterday. I had the fan on while I was exercising but turned it off when I finished. I almost need a sweater to keep a little warmer! I have been doing some laundry along with my exercises and the SparkPeople business. Now that I am done here I will get the broom and sweep the floors and dust. Don't know why I bother as the dirt blows in so bad with all of the plowed fields surrounding us. Right now the rain has it wet down so at least none blowing today!

Rain

We started our month with a wonderful rain! It gave us all the sound and light treatments and even though it scares the dogs it gives me comfort. I love the sight, sound and smell of a good rainstorm. The electricity kept going off so riding the stationary bike and doing exercise on the Wii was tricky at best. I had to start over twice so don't really know the accurate time I spent exercising but I got a good workout!

No rain today on the East side of the state, but things are greened up again. Enjoying the cooler weather! I like rainstorms too as long as they don't get violent. Love the smell of the air after lightening purifies it. Report Inappropriate Comment
