Back finally

Saturday, June 28, 2014

I've been busy with Dr. appointments and DH's days off. It was a sad time for me last week as our German Shepard died suddenly. I put her out when we got up and she didn't come when DH called her. He went looking and found her dead in the corner of the fenced in yard. She was my protector and friend, I miss her very much.

The post office has called wanting be to come back to work but I have not been released as yet so guess I will have to decline for now. We are still waiting on the results of one test the Oncologist ordered and I go back in two weeks for that.

So sorry about your german shepard. It is so hard when we lose a pet.
Hope you get good results from your tests.

So sorry about your protector and friend! I hope she had enjoyed a long and happy life. It sounds like she didn't suffer and that is a good thing. One of my daughters has an elderly dog and I know she is going to take it hard when it is time for her to go. It really hurts to lose these warm and devoted friends.

Hope your test results come back with good news. Take care of yourself and think about getting a new puppy! It might be just the thing you need to brighten up your life!

I'm so sorry about the loss of your German Shepard; they ARE such friends that not having them around leaves an emptiness in the days.

More

More steps, more cycling, more strength training but resting in between. I even took time to watch a movie, believe it or not. I haven't done that in ages! DH is working late this afternoon so I've got loads of time to take it easy!

Good for you! Sounds like you are using good sense getting back into the swing of things!

Glad you are not pushing yourself to hard. Your body need time to recover.

I had to laugh at your movie comment. I have a treadmill (let's face it - winters here are WAY too long NOT to have one!) and the only way I can convince myself to use it is by watching movies!

Still trying

Friday, June 20, 2014

I haven't given up just greatly slowed down. At least I have put the brakes on the weight gain but am not losing any either. I guess you just can't go for two months without doing much of anything and not expect to lose some ground. I can't wait until I am released to get back to more vigorous workouts. I am sure that it will take a while to get back to the level that I was at.

Just do things a little at a time and don't over do. You body needs time to recover and adjust.

really tired

Friday, June 13, 2014

This is the first time that I have done all of my exercises in quite a while and I am so tired, can hardly keep my eyes open. What's amazing is that I even did my sparking, too. I have got to quit for tonight!

Today

Thursday, June 12, 2014

I decided to do some sparking this morning and didn't get any exercises done. I did clean house a little and that does count! We had a storm during the night and we lost our storm door off of the back door. I must have really been sleeping as I didn't hear a thing and was surprised when I let the dogs out this morning. I don't know if it is salvageable or not, DH will have to look at it when he gets home. It has been a pretty nice day all in all and we are thankful for all of the rain that we get!

Hope your door is fixable. I wish people back east of would share some of that rain. We just stay under a red allert for fire danger. Not much snow here or in the mountains and now hardly any spring rain so powder dry. I worry we will have lots of forest fires this year.
