Tornado

The graduation was great success and our grandson is now on his way to going to lineman school. We got to have the dinner afterward and then the weather got to looking pretty weird. There had weather spotters in town all day and the news started announcing that there were tornados all around us. I decided that we should get on home and take care of the dogs. My son and I watched a tornado form and then touchdown West of where we were. When we got home there were 3 more tornados spotted quite close to our house. No one was hurt but one of our neighbors did lose their home. Hopefully it will be calm this evening.

I tried and tried yesterday but could never get on here. I had a pretty good day both days! I got all of my exercises done and had some running around to do, too. Tomorrow is my grandsons graduation and I am making the baked beans for the dinner after the ceremony. I will be working on them in the morning so that I can get them cooking. I just hope to get my walking done tomorrow, the rest, I may just take a day off!

Windy today

It has been so windy here today. Maybe it will blow up a rain and cool us back down for another week or two. I have put the heaters away for the summer and I am afraid that it will soon be time for the AC. It has been a long day and I am quite tired and ready for bed. I didn't sleep well at all last night so am really ready this evening!

Sure enough, 90 degrees outside! I did open the kitchen window this morning but not any others so it has stayed pretty nice in the house. DH said that he had to run the AC in the car on the way home from work. I sure don't know if I am ready for the AC already, I'm still running the heater in the evening.

We were in the 70's today. Beautiful! Tomorrow we get the 90's and windy. Funny how we live in the same state but you tend to get the weather first. DD's sheltie found a nest of 7 baby bunnies in my backyard today. We caught 5 of them. Grandson loved playing with them. When his daddy came to pick him up they took the bunnies out to the local park so they can find a new home. I just hope they don't find their way back here! That was our excitement for the day. Doesn't it just figure? I'm leaving tomorrow for San Francisco (to meet our 3-month-old grandson!), where the weather will be in the low-to-mid 60's our entire trip. Here at HOME it will finally be in the mid-70's while I'm gone! Report Inappropriate Comment

It's been a nice day so far. DH is working late and I think that I am going to go into town just to get out of the house for awhile. I need a few groceries anyway so that's a good excuse. I have gotten calls or cards from all of the kids so I feel pretty lucky! I wish that they could all be here but that would be a lot of work!

I know what you mean by a lot of work! I had my kids and families at my house yesterday for BBQ. I really enjoyed it and think my mother had a good time. But today I was cleaning for much of the day. Everyone gets to visit more than if we go out to eat. But it does take so much time preparing and then cleaning up afterwards. I'm just glad I am still up to doing it! Report Inappropriate Comment
