My hubby built me 2 more raised garden beds this spring ! Bless him !
My vegetables & flowers are doing so well now ! I have planted all kinds of great veggies. My peas & green beans are coming in great now & boy are they delicious ! Even my hubby , who isn't a veggie fan, really liking the peas & beans ! I don't know what it is but homegrown veggies are just the bomb ! They taste so fresh & yummy. It's just not the same taste as store bought veggies. I am growing , tomatoes, green peppers, basil, parsley, lettuce, butternut squash, zucchini , spaghetti squash , cucumbers, kale &the peas & green beans ! So far, everything is coming along fairly well. I had to buy a new food dehydrator because I blew up my other one ! It's so handy to do up some of the veggies that way . I freeze a lot too. I'm not into canning so much. That's a lot of work ! I now have no excuses for not eating good , rich vegetables !!! Never thought I'd become a little farmer ! I do enjoy it & for the minimal cost & effort it yields so many great healthy, cheaper vegetables ! YAY !!!

Hubby & I went for an awesome bike ride this morning before he went to work. I went 10 miles, he went 12. It was sweet ! 73.7 miles on my bike so far !!!

Oh my goodness ! I wan't motivated to do anything today . I was the best.slug.ever ! It was rainy half of the day , I lounged around after hubby left for work on the early shift today .I watched 2 movies, dozed off in my recliner . I didn't even workout today ! I made a few phone calls to friends. I did manage to meet a friend for coffee for about an hour, so I did manage to get cleaned up so I wasn't a total slob & then hubby & I had a date night ! YAY !!! I have to admit, I enjoyed my slug day ! I'm usually a busy bee . I should have worked out but oh well it's only one day . Working out is fairly easy for me to continue doing. I am truly loving riding my bike. Sometimes I go with hubby when his schedule allows. I do ride a lot by myself though. I have 55 miles on it so far, it's been a week. My eating has been out of control this past week though, I am not proud of that ! I have dropped the ball there .I need to refocus & get back on track with that ! Tomorrow, I will plan and eat better !

Oh my snazzy new bike is wonderful ! It's so nice ! It's quiet, comfy & smooth ! What a dream to ride it ! I am amazed how much difference there is between the new ones & our old ones ! It has to be at least 20 years plus since we have had new bikes ! I guess you do't realize how noisy & clunky & uncomfortable the old ones are until you get snazzy new ones ! We did ride 5 miles on the trail to try them out. After I came home I rode 3 more miles in the neighborhood. Boy do I think I am all that riding around, like anyone cares or even notices I got a new bike !!! I am acting like a 12 year old girl ! Now I just need streamers for my handle bars & noise makers on my spokes on my wheels ! HAHAHAHA !!! Hubby may not want to be seen with me riding then ! We went out for another bike ride after supper too.that was about 6.25 miles. I biked 14.3 miles today .

We went bike riding again on Saturday . We only went 15 miles this time, but it was still a great ride & workout. No ice cream treat on this route we took. I kept up with hubby better going out , but coming back, I sure did trail in his dust !!!! I did end up riding a mile faster the whole trip this time, so I was cool with that . The distances don't bother me a bit, but the constant speed.. like to keep up with hubby.... is difficult. I was having trouble with the chain on my bike which contributed a bit to the slower speed, but mostly ...I'm just not as fit as he is . Hopefully I will get better as we do it more often & I dump some more weight . Hubby must be somewhat serious about this biking thing.... he bought us new bikes today ! The other ones are ancient & falling apart ! So maybe the new, smoking purple bike will let me ride like the wind !!!! I can only wish !
I got rid of 3 more lbs. this week. I will certainly take that ! YIPPEE !!!! Have to stay on this focused & determined path !
I got my roller blades out today. I have never stuck with roller blading long enough to get good at it & it's probably not the best activity for me.I am about as uncoordinated as a cow on roller skates but I like it . It's a bit awkward , I worry about falling & getting hurt even though I wear all they protective gear they have. I'm so clunky ! Not a graceful bone in my body ! I only did it in my driveway, not sure I'm brave enough to hit the trail on my roller blades but maybe someday ! For today... I gave the neighbors a good laugh ! It was a good workout .
I'm dealing with some emotional stuff.... but I'm trying very hard to deal with that & still stay focused on this & keep moving forward & not to slip back into the muck and mire of bingeing & no exercise etc....... Life can't always be sweet & perfect. We do hit some bumps along the way but I have to deal with them. Because no amount of food is going to help anything... it only increases the awful obsession of overeating & then I feel even wore about things & myself ! MUST STAY ON TRACK !!!
