Walnut's Head Meets Mr Mulberry Tree

Tonight I decided to get my act together and get back with my work out program. I started out walking like normal and then turned on the BNH Couch to 5k program and I was running well, like really well! In my second stretch of running I stopped about 30 seconds before I should have so I took a deep breath and tried to push on through.

Next thing I know I'm on the ground confused and there's hot stuff on my head. Thanks to my super fast brain I figured out that 1) my head was bleeding, 2) it was bleeding a lot 3) it was from that branch I always duck 4) I needed to get help.

I stumbled my way over to the next house with lights on and knocked on the door. A lady in her 60's opened the door....and was horrified.

She ended up givingm e a towel and her son ushered me into the bathroom to clean myself. I looked like a nightmare. I looked like Carrie in the scene from the movie where they pour the pig blood on her.

So long story short, I went to the ER. They did a cat scan, I'm fine. Cleaned up my wound and sent me home. I'm to skip running tomorrow.

Moral of the story? Be careful!

    OMG! I'm glad you are ok!! Yes, please be careful. I wouldn't run for a couple of days. You will get the wound throbbing as your pulse rate raises. The sweat my reopen your wound.

So I've been lazy
I've been tired
I've had my face so full of snot I could not breathe.

Even so I had to work so I led my tours and hiked my miles. I went for a bike ride because of a dare and it was fun.

BUT I have been non-stop eating, I just can't stop. My goal this week is to get that back in check.

    I have days like that too. I do much better when I stay busy and am not sitting around the house. I know how you feel. Glad the ice cream is out of the house now! :)

also on a side note, LOVED the idea you had for the paper pinned up around the wall representing your inches. I might have to do something similar! :)

    I think I've got it back in check, I've put up a white board with my meal plans and the calories per meal. I've also left a little space for snacks. The ice cream is out of the house, because I ate it. I'm too broke to get more so there's that. yay! Anywho things will pick up, I can't wait until I can shake this cold. Thanks for the positive encouragement, I appreciate it!

    If you are on non-stop eating. Force yourself to only eat calorie-sparce foods. Lettuce, cucumber, celery, etc. Hide like hell from the calorie dense-fat laden crap like ice cream & french fries. Good Luck!!

Well I was told to write a letter to my future self but they didn't say how future of a self I should be aiming for. I assume that super super future Jordi is a robot so here goes.

Dear Robot Jordi,

Remember that time when you were told to destroy all humans? I'm glad you chose to stop that and instead build a time machine to travel back in time and get flesh body jordi to get with it. Now she's a fitter girl who can walk up stairs without thinking "Ugh... I hate this crap". Good work on giving meatsack Jordi the motivation to become a healthier girl who can hike the trails on the hill without losing her breath in front of the class she's leading.

    Thanks! I have about 14 weeks until my #1 goal of running a 5k in good time. My speed is getting better but my stamina is terrible!
