Today is a big day I decided to change my way of life. I'm tired of the the lower back pain , water retention, swollen legs and feet. I'm tired of wearing the support hose. I normally wear a size 8 1/2- 9 shoe I now find myself needing a 10 wide. Over the past year I have been having problems with my lower back and tail bone. I find that I can't sit for no more than 10 minutes at a time . After that I have to get up because i'm in so much pain. My feet hurt so bad that it's hard for me to walk. I have to get my daughter to massage my feet every night and sometimes tie my shoes. I never thought it would come to this. My first brush with reality was when I renewed my drivers license in june. I couldn't believe what I saw. I was so embarrassed that I wanted to cry. Then reality set in at 5 2
" and 255 pounds I can't do this anymore. My sister who is my best friend has been trying to get me to try zumba. I wanted to try it but kept putting off and I realized surgery is not an option. I don't knock those who do. It's just not for me. So I took another look at my drivers license and decided that Today I will begin again! I got her to do something I have been putting off for over a year. I TOOK BEFORE PICTURES! What a eye OPENER emoticon and motivator. I also got in a 30 minute workout with my sister and we did a zumba dvd and I really enjoyed it. Today is the day that I truly realized that I CAN DO ANYTHING FOR 10 MINUTES! Keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I will really need them. Thanks to all my fellow sparkies.
I will eventually post my before pictures.

    I'm so happy that you are starting fresh.. those darn license pictures anyway... but it sparked you into doing something.. you will be amazed at how fast this will go.. before you know it you will be looking at your before pictures and thinking NEVER again...
Best of luck and the key is to keep moving.. I would love a zumba class or DVD... maybe some day...

1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants..
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games
7. Read more books than you did in 2010 .
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

11. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree...

25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change..
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come..
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Cleaning House for 2010 !

Last Week I threw out worrying, it was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me; I couldn't do things God's way.
I threw out a book on MY PAST
(Didn't have time to read it anyway).
Replaced it with NEW GOALS, started reading it today.
I threw out hate and bad memories,
(Remember how I treasured them so)?
Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too, threw out the one from long ago.
Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL, and I MUST.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
WOW, you should've seen the dust.
I ran across an OLD FRIEND, I hadn't talked to in a while.
His name is GOD the Father, and I really like His style.
He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself.
Yes... I placed them right on the shelf.
I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door.
I FOUND IT- its called PEACE. Nothing gets me down anymore.
Yes, I've got my house looking nice.
For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn't any space.
It's good to do a little house cleaning,
Get rid of the things on the shelf.
It sure makes things brighter; maybe you should TRY IT YOURSELF.
