I started last Tuesday with my new eating philosophy of viewing food as fuel and nutrition. If I eat this way 80% of the time, then those occasions where I go out to eat or attend some function I can eat for 'enjoyment' and not sabotage my goals. This was a good first week. I stayed true to plan and I attended a wedding Saturday. I enjoyed myself at the wedding and even had some cake. But the entire week other than the wedding day, I stuck to the plan and ended up losing 7 pounds. I don't expect that kind of weight loss every week, but if I stick to the plan I should lose 1/2 to 1 pound a week. We'll see.
