So it is my birthday week....

I think I have been VERY realistic of what to expect from myself. Firstly, VDay is the 13th, so I knew that day would end up being a little worse than usual.... in actuality, I only went over my calories a little bit!

Now, as for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday of this week..... I know how it is going to work. I know if I don't let myself have some freedom I WILL fall on my ass. So, I am trying to keep these days under 2000 calories... sure, it is more than I need... and I have definitely not been helping my new lifestyle... but I am not regretful.

So, that is that and I am not ashamed. as of Sunday, things will get tight again.... I will really open my eyes again. But.. until then, I will make better choices and still enjoy myself at my birthday parties!

With the addition of the Wii Fit and an excellent Belly Dancing DVD..... this exercise stuff is ON.

It is time for me to REALLY tighten up! The poundage is falling off and I am ready!

Over a month now...

It has been over a month since I jumped back on the wagon and I have not fallen off. Sure I have had a couple of days where I am dangling from the wagon, but all in all, I have stayed true to my goals and it shows.

My size 16 jeans are all but falling off of me. They barely hang onto me! It is amazing. My 12s are still a ways away, but these 14s are JUST RIGHT. Another 10 pounds and the 14s will be too big! Yay!

I am SO glad I started measuring instead of just weighing. To see how many inches have slid off my body is amazing--- sure I have lost a few pounds, but the inches is the best.

For my birthday this month, my mom got me a Wii Fit-- it is fun and challenging. I guess this month's goal is to get no my Wii Fit 3-4 times a week and do the gym twice per week. It is a lot, but the Wii Fit is fun!

Yay for weight loss!

To make a long story short, Texas med clinic told me that based on my tests, I have liver disease. So, I went to my GP and gave them my blood.... test all came back normal, with a small lack of potassium in my diet. emoticon

I am so relieved. It is amazing looking back over the past weekend.... I turned to food so very much. I still stayed within or close to my calories count, but I would say, "Oh well, I don't care" when I was eating something bad for me.

It is a real eye opener to see how much I rely on food. Today, for example, I have had a meal that was so full of fat and then I had an ice cream sandwich. The stress gets to me and I make bad choices--- telling myself I deserve something or that I don't care because I *need* it.

Well, as soon as I get the okay from my Dr, it is back to the gym for me!!!! emoticon


MAKING oneself exercise....

I have vowed to myself to go to the gym twice a week. That is where I am starting. It seems like a reasonable request because I have done it in the past. As I get steady with that one, I will add another day. And then maybe another. For me, the gym is daunting.... not because I don't like working out, but because I just have to haul all my crap together and get out f the house! haha.

My other goal is to try and get more steps in daily... I have a great pedometer and it is really starting to make me aware of just how sedentary I am! NOT good.

So, I am going to go put on shoes and take the dude to the park with a picnic I think. Fun stuff. Oh wait--- I don't have any bread!!! BOOOOOO. Hmmm... I'll figure out something!

    Sounds like a great plan. Getting those steps in is harder than it sounds for me.
