A Low Energy Day - and That's OK

Sunday, March 20, 2011

Not as much energy as usual today, so did cardio, dog walking, & weights slower than usual. Ate healthy food - even made Chef Meg's Slow Cooker Lasagna for dinner (was delicious - will definitely make that again!)

Got work done too, including my ever-voluminous reading stack - and pulled info together for my company's tax return. Guess I got more done than I thought!

A nice relaxing evening ahead - a good end to a great weekend. Feeling optimistic!

More of the Same - in a Good Way

Saturday, March 19, 2011

A beautiful spring day, 45 min dog walk followed by 20 min treadmill @ 9" incline, now to do some work & grocery shopping - and enjoy the rest of the day! No great epiphanies, just consistency. Oh - and 1" gone from my waist. Excellent progress.

Inches Gone

Friday, March 18, 2011

Well the inches are falling away - motivated to keep moving. Busy day ahead, have planned all activities including cardio, food. Hopefully that stubborn scale will show results soon, because in addition to losing the inches I know that these last 12 pounds have to come OFF to reach the overall goal of fitness and health.

More later!

Inches falling off are so much better a reflection of what's happening than the numbers on your scale. I know exactly what you mean, but I am glad that you have a healthy, positive attitude regarding the scales and your overall fitness. You are doing so well...keep doing what you're doing!

Keeping at It

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

The SP way of doing things is feeling like a routine to me now - daily exercise in the right "dose," eating to the appropriately-defined calorie count, and most of all, enjoying that new routine - alot.
I am finding I am sacrificing other things (mostly people who want to "meet" but will likely never turn into business for my company) to protect my time for this effort. The work we have has not suffered; in fact, I know I am more productive and focused.

Habit begets habit... in this case, all good habits - and seeing good results in the process. (The scale is still not the boss of me, frustrating as that thing is.) Learning to see results in those looser clothes, increased mental acuity, and in general just feeling GOOD.

I knew these last 10-12 pounds would be tough and it is, but I am confident I will get there. This game requires patience and consistency.
