Feels Like Progress

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

Not sure what the scale will tell me, but clothes are looser - a good sign. A full day today - four meetings, cardio, weights, dog walking after the rain stopped this evening. Very glad to have daylight longer!

More work to do, but it all feels good. Outlook ahead is bright.

The fact that your clothes are looser is far more important than any number you will see on your scales. emoticon This is very, very good progress.

Daylight Savings Off to a Great Start

Sunday, March 13, 2011

What a beautiful day outside! Just finished a long walk with one of the dogs, after doing cardio this morning, and weight training. Did some good work today too. Now think I will catch up on reading material and plan for the week ahead.

Am totally ready for spring - and more daylight later in the day! emoticon

Totally the opposite of me! I stayed in bed the extra hour this morning because I ended up going to bed an hour late last night!

Etc

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Well I made the 10K step goal today in spite of facilitating a 7 hour planning retreat (which went very well.) Went grocery shopping after; needed fruits and vegetables. Long walk with the dog when I got home did the trick. Met calorie burn goal for today too. I will sleep well tonight!

You're a consistent inspiration and sparking interest in pedometers for me again.

10,000 Steps

Friday, March 11, 2011

Set up new pedometer today at 1:00, have taken 8087 steps between 1:00 and 7:30. Think I will be able to meet the daily goal. Also met other activity goals today, cardio, weights, dog walking... ate 1400 calories, and got alot of work done. New interesting project presented itself, unexpectedly. Will probably take a year to complete for the client, working on it a few hours each week.

Also working on eating a fruit or protein snack mid morning and mid afternoon.

Realized I only write this blog for me, more like a track record than a public blog. Appreciate all comments and the encouragement though!

Now going to watch a movie with my son. Facilitating an all day retreat tomorrow but am already planning out cardio time before and after. Will need to get up early. Whew.

Running on Empty

Thursday, March 10, 2011

Very tired today - think the intense workload & cardio/exercise regiment is catching up with me or maybe just another food intake adjustment (more protein & carbs) might be in order. Or I could just be tired! (Might need to move from 7-8 ave hours sleep to 8-9 ave.)

In any case, finished 30 min on treadmill, did weights early this morning before getting ready for 8 am breakfast meeting. Continuing to work it!
