On we go

I am committed to this program of weight loss and maintenance. 6 pounds to go to the goal, but it is starting to feel more realistic to me that it probably needs to be 10-12 more to meet overall health goals and effectively lower that A1C score into the 'low' end of the normal range. So I am mentally adjusting and will be consulting with the nutrition tracker today to see about the calorie adjustments that are needed. For me, the calorie vs. exercise amount ratio is critical, and it seems more difficult to calibrate this the more weight i have lost. (Had no weight issues until i was 45 so i still am learning about this, 7 years later - and having lost 20 lbs last year before finding SP.)

So... on to today. Plan for today: set up new pedometer; treadmill; business breakfast meeting; meetings until 3:00 then a few errands & more work to do. A few pressing things but overall a low stress day. A good thing.

No dog walking since it is pouring rain (maybe later if this stops). Dog not happy at moment :-)

At last, a normal day

Looking forward to a day with time in between meetings! Weights today, after breakfast... Planning on dog walking in early evening. Game plan in place. Feels good.

Shock day & back to travel

So, yesterday's shock day strategy was good & I think that is one of the tools that needs to be brought back into my toolbox. Did a business trip today with the usual airport madness, but very productive meeting. Got cardio in before leaving for airport.

Time for a Shock Day

A few years ago, I had a very effective personal trainer (who helped me lose the initial weight on my weight loss journey.) He designated one day per week as "shock day" - the day that the body gets shocked enough to let go of the weight. So that day has again arrived - today's goal is 2 hours of cardio, plus weight training, plus dog walking. We will see if this makes a difference - not losing these last few pounds is making me resort to new (old) ideas.

Scale not moving but it is not the boss of me

Well the scale is not moving but I am forging ahead. May have to recalibrate food intake to lose these last pounds. Or change up the workout routine (again.)

Day off to a good start in spite of the scale. The scale does not rule me (mantra for the day)!

8 hours sleep. Weight training done. Cardio done. No dog walking due to rain expected all day. Trip to vet for check up ahead, along with errands and work to do, and gala event to attend this evening.

Like to be busy. (But not quite as busy as this past week was!)

    It sounds to me like you are doing great and have a great attitude! I know a plateau feels so frustrating but I love your mantra about the scale! I may have to steal it! :)
