Optimism

I have watched my level of optimism rise & fall over the years in direct correlation to my weight - for good or bad, I am simply unhappy at even '10 pounds too much'. Finding that good place again is gratifying, but I am also finding that life never really lets us rest - even when at a good weight, other challenges continue to intrude and demand my attention. Even when we do everything right, things can still go wrong, brought to us by life itself.

Staying in a good place, I think, requires attention - and vigilance.

Looking ahead

The morning is starting with a good walk with the dog already completed - beautiful morning, an enjoyable outing with 160 calories burned. Breakfast completed at 290 calories, and next up is a conference, then completion of treadmill workout, then work to do following by a client working lunch meeting and more work this afternoon. Client dinner this evening.

Looking forward to a good & productive day! Feeling thin (been a long time since I could say that!)

well another really long day today, starting with 41 minutes of treadmill cardio... followed by meetings starting at 8 am, 10 am, 12 noon, 3 pm, 4 pm, and 5 pm.... Last 3 were conference calls so that made it a bit easier...

Wiped out tired tonight. Going to bed soon and hope to capture at least 9 hours of sleep!

The day's end

well a long day is coming to an end, and it started with 15 minutes of cardio on the treadmill, fit in before getting ready & heading to a 8 am breakfast meeting with a client... then 2 conference calls, then a lunch meeting, then 4.5 hours of interviewing candidates for another client's open VP position. Picked up takeout on the way home, still ate today within the 1550 calorie ceiling.

Mid morning update

Monday, August 29, 2011

So far have completed a 30 min walk with the dog, a 441 calorie breakfast, 36 minutes of cardio on treadmill, completion of the building inspection of the remodeled bathroom, exterminator's monthly bug visit, and accomodated a photographer to take photos of the remodeled bathroom. Also have had 1 conference and responded to all e-mail thus far, and completed on work project. And it's 10:30! Next, I'm getting ready to go to a lunch meeting with a client, then 2 big work projects are on deck to complete this afternoon before a 5 pm conference call.

Feeling good so far... am determined to lose this last 6 pounds now that the scale has started moving again - think I've finally got the formula right that my body likes in order to let go of the rest of the pounds! Yeah.
