Well, I know it has been a LONG time since I last checked in on this board! However, I am happy to say although I have been remiss in logging in, I have been successful on my weight loss journey. I have now lost a total of 31 pounds and I have been maintaining it for the last 3-4 months. First time ever! I did the HCG diet during the summer and it was nothing short of miraculous for me, although it may not be for everyone. I also got hooked on Hot (BIKRAM) Yoga, which I believe has been instrumental in maintaining the weight loss. I am thrilled to meet the New Year and have new goals, i.e. to continue to maintain the weight loss, continue to practice Hot Yoga along with my weight lifting, to travel more and to do a tandem skydive jump as soon as the weather breaks! Yep, this is going to be a helluva year!

Check out MAMACLOK on YouTube(.)com as she has some great BEFORE/AFTER pictures. She did the Diet two yrs ago and has kept off 76 pounds.

Well, it has been weeks since I last blogged and not because I have not been doing what is necessary to ensure I have my Best Body Year ever, but because I have been swamped in both work-work and housework. Spring cleaning and fixing up the patio and front door entrance to welcome the wonderful, wonderful air of Spring! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and the geese are pooping, LOL. I am back in the gym hitting the weights heavy and hard and I ran 5 miles this morning before hitting the gym! Boy can I feel the exhiliration of completing my goals and the age in my bones! I have to go back to my nutrition and fitness tracking as well as I have not kept those up the last few days either, I have little pieces of paper everywhere with the information on them, LOL. Well I hope EVERYONE is feeling the love, the warmth of the sunshine and the prospect of a BRAND NEW DAY! Love and Smooches to ALL!

I completed the 2 month INSANITY workout with a bang! I did a triple threat, Max Cardio Conditioning, Cardio Abs and the Upper Body workout! Monday is weigh in and measuring day. I can't wait to get back to the gym and pump some real iron. I must say I do intend to weave INSANITY into my weight workouts as it is definitely challenging. Well it's getting late and I'm exhausted. After all that working out I just finished sealing my granite floor and polishing my wood floor. What can I say I must have had my Wheaties! LOL. Well I will sleep the sleep of the dead tonight, my body is screaming for it! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Feels Like Spring!!!

YAYYYYYY, finally looks like its going to be a bright warm spring week and I am working from home ALL week! Boy did I pick well. It has been such a dreary snowy and most recently rainy winter and I am looking forward to Spring. Sunny days are just naturally cheerful don't you think! It also, strangely, motivates me even more to whip this old bod into the best shape ever! Finished my double workout yesterday and will be doing Max Cardio Conditioning and Insane Abs today! Lookin' good and feelin' good!

    Today I did my walking outside and it was wonderful. The warm sunshine has a way of lifting the spirits. You are doing an excellent job with that insanity workout. I want to try those maybe by the end of summer. You keep up the good work.

Yayyyy.... I am on the countdown for my last week of INSANITY. I am so proud of myself cause it was haaaaaaaaard! This last week though I am doubling up. I am doing the upper body workout M, W, & F along with the 6 day schedule of cardio workouts, so on those 3 days I will be working out twice. At the end will be my final weigh in and measurements for the 2-month INSANITY session. I'm excited to see the end results and then back to the GYM! Whew I don't think I have ever wanted to go back so badly, but I have decided to combine the INSANITY workouts into my gym workouts as I think they are very intense but even more so I love the emphasis on the core, my midsection has definitely and visibly benefited from this workout. Well onward and downward! emoticon
