Okay, I'm officially back in the game. When I was back into the habit of exercising, I still wasn't doing as much as I was before. I'd work out hard, but not as hard as before or on as many days as before. I would also not do everything. I can't tell you the last time I've actually done my core workout. :(
I have 2 different schedules, my weight lifting schedule & my cardio schedule. On my weight lifting schedule, I break down my workouts. MWF are for my upper body & T/Th are for my lower body. I do core M-F. I call it my PUSH workout since I'm pushing my body to heigher heights physically. :-)

I am noting my progress daily on my community journal:
My ultimate goal is to go back to burning 4000+ calories per week, do ALL of my PUSH workouts as scheduled, maintain my healthy eating habits, and get back to the low amount of salt that I used to consume. Although my food has gotten more varied, I miss the ease of how I used to eat. It was either vegetables & fish or pasta & fish, so it was never much thought to figure out what I was eating for lunch or dinner. I'm going to incorporate more of those cleaner meals while still keep the variation I have now. :-)

I'm back on track! After stopping working out since June, I am now back to it. For at least the past two weeks I have really stepped up my cardio. I stepped on the scale this morning and am 190lbs! Yay! After I'd stopped doing cardio I was consistently 195lbs pounds despite my lifting weights and eating fattier foods (so I could hit my calories without gorging myself). That was good though because I was supposed to be maintaining my weight. Like I said before, I now lift 30lbs heavier so I lost fat and gained muscle. Now at 190lbs, I'm still getting stronger, but am losing more fat. :-)
I've also gotten to the point where I'm like 50% vegetarian. I have never been much of a beef lover, chicken has lost its appeal majorly in the past 5 or 6 years, and I stopped eating pork last October (for my birthday). Lamb, veal, venison (which I like to call Bambi), etc have never been my meats of choice. On the other hand, I looooooooooooove fish! I eat tilapia and salmon every week, I gotta have it! lol If its not fish, then I'm eating Morning Star products (they are the best!!!!). I also love Nature's Promise Char-Grilled Soy Burgers....they similate an actual burger and taste very, very delicious.
I'm jogging again! I'm jogging again! This time I'm able to be consistent with it since my knee problems are not as bad as I thought they were. Maybe its just because I want it so bad, but I'm certain I can hear the noise in my right knee less and less. It has to be because it tired of making noise, lol, not because of anything I did specifically. I had stopped jogging, but had started back to wearing my heels almost like I used to before. My knees were not acting foolish, so I started back jogging a little bit......just like 5-7 minutes twice a week. Shortly thereafter I found out my knees weren't as bad and so I continued with what I was doing. Nothing ridiculous because I didn't want to make my knees worse, I just wanted to see how they would respond. For some reason I also ended up jogging more period (having to run in the rain, etc.) and my knees handled it fine. I have been consistently jogging for the last couple of days (little spurts....nothing longer than 7 minutes except for today when I jogged 10 minutes twice) and as of this morning, haven't heard the ridiculous noise in my right knee that I expected to hear. I'm still paying attention though.....
As far as lifting weights, I have noticed that my right arm is bigger than my left arm. So obviously, I'm using my right arm more when I'm lifting. I realized that at some point last week and have been trying to watch myself so I use both equally or my left more (so it can catch up with my right arm). I was NOT concentrating on my biceps, but they are what I've noticed has gotten bigger. So obviously, the lifting I'm doing is working my biceps too. Not a problem, I just know I need to focus more on my triceps now. I've gotten a new workout together that I'm now doing. I love it!
EDIT: When I did my lifting this morning, I realized why my biceps are noticeably bigger. The exercise I thought I was doing for my triceps is actually working my biceps because I'm doing it incorrectly. When the weight gets too heavy I have a tendency to do it wrong just so I can finish my sets. I never paid attention before because I just knew I was working my triceps because I could "feel it" while I was doing the last of the set. When I paid attention this morning, I realized that feeling is coming from my biceps. Since I noticed it, I will decrease the weight and work my triceps like I'm supposed to be doing! lol

In the beginning of June I stopped all cardio and concentrated on weight lifting. Its now been a little over a month of weight lifting, during which I must admit, I was not consistent in the first couple of weeks. As of yesterday I lift 30lbs more than I did a month ago. Yay!!!
The original reason I stopped all cardio wasn't as bad as I thought and since my weight lifting is obviously working, I'm going back to doing cardio. Even though I stopped, I still lost fat, but gained muscle (can't wear 14s at all anymore and I have more room in my 12s). Muscle wieghs more than fat and burns more calories! Yeah baby!!!
I'm excited to be back to doing cardio. I've gotten other news too.... apparently the issue with my knees isn't as bad as I thought. What's that mean? That means I'm going back to jogging! Woo hoo!

Well, not actually stopping. I'm just not going to burn 4200+ calories per week anymore. I'll be trying to not even burn 200 a week. Let's see how well I can do that....lol...you know its going to be hard for me.
I am going to focus on strength training & toning my body as it is. I realize I've lost a significant amount of weight in a short period of time (lost 55lbs since Feb 08) and am now taking time out to concentrate on toning everything before I start losing weight again. I do not want to be able to tuck my skin. Right now, I couldn't tuck it if I tried (which is a good thing). There is another reason why I am stopping all weight loss, but its not something I just really want to put out there for the world to read. However, if you send me a message, I'll tell you without a problem. Some people think I'm being sensitive, but whatever! :-)
While my fitness minutes are barely going to increase, my food intake will increase considerably. I now have to eat 2230 calories per day to maintain my current weight (doing 30 minutes of exercise 3 times a week). I will continue my current eating habits though, as I was never on a diet, but a mission to change my lifestyle. Btw, I was successful in changing my lifestyle. :-)
Suggestions anyone? I plan on doing pilates & yoga while focusing on exercises that will strengthen my upper body and core.

Let me give background numbers so you all can understand where I'm coming from (gosh my mom would be upset to know I used "from" at the end of a sentence...in this instance, it just sounds better that way....lol).
250 lbs - Feb 1
235 lbs - Mar 17
209 lbs - May 2
204 lbs - May 23
200 lbs - May 30
196 lbs - Jun 2
I got on the scale arbitrarily yesterday late morning & the frickin' scale said I was 196lbs. Impossible! I was already losing weight fast, but if the scale is accurate, I'm losing weight waaay too fast. Actually, it can be right, I don't mind because I just picked back up with strength training. Wait a minute, that might make it go faster. Uh oh. I'm going to think on this so I can figure it out. Only change is I upped the calories consumed...I must've given my body EXTRA fuel & now its showing me what it can do with it. lol Maybe I'll spend less time doing cardio and do more strength training instead. Hmmm.... I need the weight to be gone for career reasons, but I need it to go nicely. I don't need it to disappear like some magic wand was waived because what won't disappear is the skin it will surely leave behind. Afterall, there's only so much strength training I can do.....I do not want to bulk up!
