All Or Nothing Attitude

Tuesday, December 04, 2012

Not a good choice. It wasn't a particularly bad day at work, but by the time I got home yesterday, I didn't want to move. "Just 10 minutes", I told myself. I blocked myself out quickly and sat in my favorite chair. I didn't get my cardio in. I can't fall into that all or nothing attitude again!

What to do next time...
DON'T SIT DOWN IN MY FAVORITE CHAIR
Remember that I just joined the "10 min. of exercise a day team"
Remember that every little bit counts
Think about that great trophy I'll get after my 28 day streak

The idea of just ten minutes has really kept me on track and I now have a 70 day streak going! The great thing is, if you keep doing it, you really do start to see progress. I am fitter and have lost inches as well as losing weight. I am trying to start to do more now but the just doing ten minutes has really ingrained a habit into my day that I can stick with. :)

SparkCoach

Sunday, September 09, 2012

Ok. This is really not like me to sign up with a coaching thing. I know what to do and all I need to do is "do it"!

If you look closely at my level and the amount of time I have been with SP, I could have lost my extra weight at least 5 times over. I read emails, blogs, articles, spin the wheel and earn points, but I am not losing weight. So, just doing what I know to do isn't working for me, cause I'm not doing it. I have done the right thing by signing up!

Now, it's only been a few weeks, but I am moving again! I am not eating certain foods, because I'd have to track it. I am drinking more water. I feel good for doing the right thing for myself!

SparkCoach is right for me. I'm on SP anyway, so be accountable to my new coach and see results!

SPARK CHEERS!!!

Christmas Time

Monday, December 13, 2010

Merry Christmas!

This is an especially good Christmas, because I have made it over the 3 month hump. Over and over in my life I do my usual "let's do it" workouts. After 3 months...I quit. I have done this so many times, it's ridiculous! I finally, finally told myself, "NOT THIS TIME!". I made myself accountable to my best friend and stuck to it. Finishing November and still exercising in December means "I've done it!" Between SP and my friend, it's a very, very good Christmas.

Jesus is the reason for the season! And sticking to my work outs makes it all the better!

Two weeks in

Monday, May 31, 2010

This is my first time to blog on SP. Actually, this is the first time to blog on anything. I am so excited to finally be following SP the way I should. I have gone through 2 weeks of my Fast Break. I have found that it's not hard to watch what you eat when SP has it figured out for you. I have been following the meal plans and I have lost 3 pound! My exercise has been walking outside and on my treadmill for those two weeks. Feels Great! Small set back with a cold this week. Good part is, when I don't feel well, I don't eat as much. So, no exercise, but no calorie increase! I am feeling better and looking forward to getting back to a normal work out schedule. Also, since I have been eating so well and that is the food I have in the house, I am making great choices on what I do eat. Spark People is the way to go! Thanks to all that have posted their success stories. Your success encourages all of us!
