Well, this is my first time VLogging, so we'll see how it goes. Just a review of my day.


The Real Work Begins Now

Well, today I've put as a way high...This weekend in general was great. Yesterday I spend much of the afternoon with my boyfriend in Corpus and had some major good fun. We went out to Chick-fil-a and I got their fruit salad thing. I figured I'd try to eat really healthy. I'm not a fan of all the onion and lettuce in it though, but I ate all the fruit and chicken and nibbled around on the lettuce. Then we went out putt putt golfing. Mostly it was screwing around since we didn't keep score. But it was still super fun. I almost made a hole in one on the pirate ship. So close. I did get a couple twos, which was much improvement from the first few holes. Also went and saw Avatar...Amazing movie and totally deserved the awards it got. I totally recommend everyone go see it if they haven't. I'm getting it when it comes onto disc. Then we went to Cracker Barrel to have supper with his family. Was a bit nervous, but they're super cool. I actually was really shocked to find that I wasn't really hungry at all yesterday, but also stayed under my calories as well. Also bought my non-bio sister a wedding gift (for those curious, I got her the Promise Willow Tree Angel. Steph collects them and I saw it at Cracker Barrel and thought of her). Didn't do anything other than the bootcamp video though. :/ Got back late and was fidgety from the nervous drive from Corpus. I should probably try leaving before dark from now on.

Today was slack as well. I think the book stress of last week got to me and I just felt bum-tastic this weekend. Didn't do much. Slept, watched tv, though did sit down and decide on a healthier choice at Subway...Need to find a way to cut my sodium though. Ate half of a melt on 9-grain wheat for lunch and half for supper. Also just got done with bootcamp.

I'm going to have to fix my mistakes from this weekend and workout next Saturday and Sunday. I think once I get used to my classes this semester, I'll be ready to go. I just felt so 'blah' today that I couldn't seem to force myself to do anything. However, since I've started my period today, maybe it's a good thing I just bummed. But I did notice that I haven't been as moody, and my cramps are really dull (when they are usually pains that leave me curled up on my apartment floor because it's cool and feels better). Also has made me incredibly thirsty in the past hour or so. I've downed a bunch of water. Watched some movies as well today with my friend. Swapped Heroes for a few weeks for True Blood.

Classes start up again tomorrow. Got to pack a book back up and drop it off on my way to my classes in the UPS box. Also need to make a wal-mart run and pick up a pillow. :P And now, I'm off to do some Spanish and read a chapter or two out of my book so I can move to the next one. My group of gal friends and me are discussing starting a book swap thing where we pass books we have around. Should be way fun. :)


Next Day Shipping My Butt

Second day of classes was today, which meant a pretty short day overall, though Tuesdays and Thursdays are always going to be short (I might try putting my Spanish Lab into one of these two days or something so I don't overload my Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays). Actually slept until 6 this morning, which is something I've been finding hard to do for the past couple of days. I think it was the nerves of having to pack, travel back to campus, and first day of classes, but it felt good. I have to watch what I eat at breakfast. More fruit, less hash browns, but they had fresh huge strawberries this morning. Yum! It's been a while since I've had strawberries (they've been so expensive at the Wal-Mart here). I wish I had a fridge so I could bring some back and slice them up for an afternoon snack. Went way huge on fruits and veggies though. I don't have a lot of time at lunch to eat, so eating a salad and a plate of veggies with a little ranch on the side works perfectly. :) Had Trig this morning, but arrived early after breakfast. Robin walked around the halls with me a few times. I'm finding it much easier to get extra steps in without really even thinking about it. This works well since she likes walking and it gives me something to do since I tend to get to the buildings way early. I also am feeling proud of myself. I'm not so winded when I walk up the stairs which is an improvement since stairs are my worst enemy (though I've also noticed that my knee issues have gone down as well with working out and eating right, which makes the stairs easier too). Trig doesn't sound like it's going to be too bad since the professor's willing to walk us through stuff to help us get that 'A' that I really want. Got out a little early, so I went back to my room and did the bootcamp video. It's getting easier as well. Yay!

As said, had salad and major veggies at lunch. Yum yum. Then went to my class in the same building. Texas Government shouldn't be too bad. Got out way early there as well, and Robin's got a class next door, so we can walk together, and I might walk with her over to her next class the rest of the semester and just dwaddle around campus for a bit, maybe bring some homework and a blanket with me and study outside once in a while. It'll be really nice. Took a short nap this afternoon before working out. Came to the conclusion that working out inside is torture when it's absolutely beautiful outside. I think I'll do walks around the campus for half an hour or so on my off days from First Week to 5k. Still looking for the SPEC classes schedule to see if they might do anything that would pique my curiosity. Halved my sandwich for supper tonight since it was the major calorie killer yesterday. Was just as good and allowed me more veggies. I've become a veg-aholic methinks.

Of course, the one black spot on my day is the fact that my textbook, which I need to get the questions out of for my short quiz tomorrow (thank goodness it's only 3 questions and super easy), did not come today like promised and was supposed to. How long does it take to fly from Phoenix to San Antonio? That's my great question since it should have been here...So we'll see how I do on my quiz tomorrow. Gotta do catch-up this weekend already because of that...And get to visit my least favorite place on campus, the bookstore to get my other books. Gotta love money going down the tube.


Water water water

Today has been great. Robin and me went to Wal-Mart last night and got some last minute school stuff. I picked up a pairing knife so I could peel oranges and got a nice water bottle that I can carry with me to classes and a granola/nut thing that I was curious about. Bombed yesterday at supper though when Brandon took me out with my meal, but not worried too much about it.

Worked hard on keeping on task today. Had my normal breakfast of hashbrowns, bacon, and 2% milk. Grabbed an apple as well. Before this though I drank 16 oz of water which was amazing and more than I usually drink, so the water here is definitely better tasting for me. Filled it up a second time and drank half during classes in the morning and ate my apple on my walk. Also was proud. I had 15 minutes between my classes and walked around outside the building to enjoy the nice weather. Had water and veggies at lunch and instead of putting the dressing on my salad, I used it as a dip which helped a lot. Unfortunately the actual salad was off tasting, so I just had the sticks and such that I grabbed to nibble on. Drank the rest of my water after doing my second day of First Week to 5k along with adding around 10 minutes of just walking back to the dorm as I made about a trip and a half around the campus. It's nice to see everyone else working out. Had whole wheat turkey sandwich and more veggies for supper along with a super thin slice of pound cake for my sweet tooth. I need one more bottle of water for the night and I have gotten all the water I need. :) Need to decide what to do tomorrow for cardio.

Lost an inch on my hips and waist. I'm so happy!

First Day to 5k

Today was grand. Weather was quite warm, reaching the 70s this afternoon which was perfect for me to get out on the road to start interval training for jogging. The neighbor's dog came down with me. TD makes a pretty good running partner since he keeps up pretty well and doesn't pull (which is the issue I have with my boys). Also did the bootcamp video, which is getting easier, though the pilates extra challenge added some difficulty in there. The fridge is looking empty, so it's definitely time to return to college, which is the big plan tomorrow as classes start on Wednesday. Did the last of my laundry today and let it air out in the sunshine, which makes it smell all fresh and sea-breezy. Still waiting on my graphics card, though I'll sit down and figure out the screwdrivers I need to take it out and put them with my stuff until I come back home for spring break. I need to decide on some sort of workout to do on my off days from interval training, though it'll probably be the elliptical or I might try to find some friends to play volleyball or at least pepper with me down in the sand pit next to our dorms. Need to stop over at Wal-mart tomorrow night and get some fruit, maybe some nuts, just munchies.
