I never ever seem to make my water quota for the day. I know I'm supposed to... but it just doesn't seem to happen. I was doing better with it when i would mix water with Crystal Light, but then I was taking in too much Aspartame and stalling. I've found some new Splenda powders to add to my water, but still get no where close to 8 glasses a day. I've noticed that I find it easier to drink lots of water when exercising, and when its really cold.

So here are my new strategies:
1) Keep bottles in the back of the fridge to keep them really really cold and maybe a few half full ones in the freezer.

2) When I am eating a meal, I will drink water with the meal. If I finish the glass of water, then I will let myself get a diet soda or diet lemonade etc.

3) I will put a sign on my fridge: Have you had your water today? And i will check off each water serving on the sign.

    What I do is, I bought a pop top 2-liter bottle with a handle and I fill it every night, stick it in the fridge and take it with me everywhere I go. If I am going to be on call at the hospital, I stick it in the freezer when I get up in the morning so it will get a good block of ice going, and carry it around all day.

I make sure I drink at least that bottle of water, plus I usually get another 1/2 to another whole one down too. You can do it!

    Good luck with your water goal! I find having a water bottle wherever I go helps. I keep one of those Nalgene bottles full at all times: when I get in the car, it's right there with me. Waiting for a dr. appt... I'm sipping!

Also, a girl at my school adds one lemon wedge to the water in her bottle and I've noticed another person adding lime! Good luck! You'll instantly feel better if you can get yourself to drink lots of water!!!
