I am watching the Grammys and they barely won out over the movie 1408 which combined three great things: John Cusack, a Stephen King story, and a number for a title. Hope to catch the movie some other time but I am so glad to be watching the Grammys. Since I can't sing a lick, I have been dancing along(as much as the knee will permit) with the vocal performances. Even did a few situps...

It was a really restful day-got up early, swept snow, read the paper, Sparked, did lesson plans and student calendars, made breakfast for DH and me, and took a lovely afternoon nap. No wonder I feel good.

I tried the capoiera workout which I liked-the moves feel good and I like the music. Took in too many calories but I figure it has been awhile since I have gone over calories so maybe my body will get the idea that I am not trying to starve it. At least most of it was healthy food(ok, the french fries were an indulgence but the bloating was almost worth it!!)

    What is the capoiera workout?

My weekend was decent too...I made a Rachel Ray recipe Saturday--crab and pasta, yum!––and it turned out pretty good. Even M. liked it.

Then last night the puppy actually settled down to sleep on the living room rug, a first for her! She usually is perpetual motion when she's out of the crate. Finally maturing a bit.

I sent you some stuff on shopping in Cape May. Did you get it? Maybe we can do it sometime, weather permitting.

Friday night or should I say, Early Saturday morning

AAAAAHHHH, I had a couch nap-I love those! Of course, I didn't finish sparking but here I am now.

It was a good week with the exception of my exercise minutes. With the sore knee, everything has been a bit curtailed. I will try to do more yoga and pilates and weight training. Gotta do what you can when you can.

Food was actually ok this week-few cookie meltdowns. emoticon

Teaching at the college began again which I enjoy. Too bad it cuts into Spark time but I will try to work around that. I miss communicating with my Spark friends.

Time for bed-wishing all a great weekend, filled with fun,friends, movement, healthy eating, and some good surprises!! emoticon

    Keep on keepin' on. What a great attitude!! Remember you are much to blessed to be stressed. Take perfection and throw it out the window. There's always something you can make better or do differently — strive to IMPROVE, not attain the impossible.

Thanks everyone for the encouragement!! My weeks are going to be long for a bit.
Fit a little Zumba practice in and kept to my calories today but still need sleep.

Terribly Tired Tuesday for Terri

It is almost eleven and I want my bed, almost more than I want to read.

First day back at the college went well, it was a blast to teach people who listened and took notes. What a change from my daily routine with the simple sophmores of my school.

My knee is still achy but my cold is better. Thanks all of you who wished me well.
Tomorrow is the middle of the week, if it hasn't been going good, do something just for you tomorrow and don't let it be a cookie!!!!! emoticon

    Waking up early and coming home super late can be a drag sometimes (i wake up at 6am everyday and bed around 11/12 at night), but i know for me that i feel that much more accomplished because 1. i made it through (especially without a nap - no time lol) 2. i got most things done and was able to follow the schedule...

and as most new routines go, it takes time to get used to it. I am sure in very little time you won't feel so exhausted

    Yikes - I can't imagine having to be up that late.....I'm normally in bed by 8 (of course, I get up around 4AM - and yes, that's by choice!).....you know, teachers have such an undervalued and underappreciated role in this society....damn the entertainers in this world.....TEACHERS ROCK!

Hang in there - the hump day will pass soon!

Decent Monday and there was Zumba!!

Work was ok although So Jersey was like a lot of the East Coast experiencing torrential rain and wind. Survived that and best of all, the school day.

Zumba class tonight was great. I monitored my knee and my left quad muscle that was doing the achy thing and made out ok. that's a relief because I really was starting to miss class.

The cold is definitely better. A bit concerned about DH-his cough is getting worse and he is not feeling too much better. Keep a good thought for him please, he works in a place where wood pulp floats in the air.
