Well, I survived the turnaround shift. I worked until 11:55 PM last night and went in today at 7:50 AM. I stayed until 4:30 PM. I did 9,816 steps (4.64 miles) and burned 459 calories.

After I came home, fed the cats, and went to the gym. I did 2 hours of cardio. I wanted to go for a bicycle ride but there were too many dark clouds. I thought it was going to rain.

Now, I'm going to fix dinner and watch Glee at 9 PM.

Amelia was OK... I went because MJR Theater's offer reduce prices $4.50 between 4-6 with free large popcorn.

Tough Schedule Tonight!

Tuesday, October 27, 2009

I have a tough work schedule tonight. I work from 5 PM to 1 AM tonight. Tomorrow, I work from 8 AM to 4 PM. That's too quick of a turnaround for this old man. LOL. I know they want me to work late tonight because we are showing the Michael Jackson's This Is It movie at 12:01 AM and they are expecting a very large crowd. I'm not sure if they are expecting 3,000 people that came to the 12:01 AM show of Harry Potter. I think they are.

By the way, I will never go to a 12:01 AM opening of a new movie. No movies is worth losing sleep over.

I did see some parts of the movie. It's okay. It's just takes from his planned comeback concert. I didn't think anything special. By the way, we had 377 people for the midnight opening. Not a good sign since we had 3,000 people for the Harry Potter midnight opening.

That is a tough schedule to work until 1 a.m., and then start again at 8 a.m. UGH!

Did you get to view any part of the movie? If so, how was it?

I agree...no movie is worth losing sleep. I don't know if Michael Jackson's movie can pull in 3,000 people. I'm interested in seeing. Good luck with your tough schedule.

365 Days Left of My 40s

Monday, October 26, 2009

Today is my 49th birthday and I have 365 days left in my 40s. LOL. So, I'll be starting a new decade in 365 days. I'm going for a bicycle ride before class and then play tennis tonight at 8:30 PM. I'll definitely get my cardiovascular exercises today. Now, off for that bicycle ride.

Sounds like you didn't wait til you turned 50 to embrace your healthy lifestyle. I celebrated by 50th birthday weighing at least 50lbs more than I should have. I kept justifing it to myself every which way. A couple months into my 50th year, I woke up and decided enough was enough. It took me a better part of a year to get off the weight, but for the most part I have kept it off well for over 5 years and am much more active and happy. The 50's are a great decade and we will welcome you in when you get here!

It's almost 2 AM and I am doing all my stuff on SparkPeople now so when I wake up tomorrow morning I can just go and do my cardio.

It was a busy night at the movie theaters so that made the time go fast. Although, I think I caught a little cold from one of my fellow co-workers.

It's a dreary day out. I will go for a bicycle ride before I go to work at 5 PM tonight. If last night is any indication for tonight, then, I will be able to leave before 1 AM and get home at a reasonable hour on a Saturday night in a long time.

I spoke with my mom today and she is doing well. She's helping me pay for my Spring '10 school tuition. Thanks, mom.
