Another Relaxing Sunday

Monday, October 05, 2009

I am so glad that I have decided not to work on Sundays. Originally, I've taken Sundays off so I can study or do my school work. As it turned out, I've been mostly catching up on my much needed rest and relaxation.

Yesterday, I rode over 2 hours on my bicycle. It was a beautiful day in Alexandria. Although, extremely windy, which made riding a little tougher. I can tell because my legs are a bit sore. After the bicycle ride, I came home to watch TV and played on my XBox 360 for the first time in over a year. I can't believe it. I'm surprised that I knew how to play. LOL. emoticon

Monday is school day. So, I better get started on my core exercises and get a bicycle ride in before class. More tomorrow.

I was more efficient at work last night. I had the same shift as Friday night (4 PM to midnight). Although, I did work 5 more minutes last night, I ended up taking less steps -- only 11,321. I must be slacking. emoticon

Today is my day off and luckily I have completed my homework assignment that is due tomorrow. So, I will have a nice relaxing day. I will ride my bicycle and go groceries shopping. I hate to go groceries shopping on the weekend because it's always a zoo. However, I am scheduled to work longer shifts than usual on Tuesday (9 AM to 6 PM) and Wednesday (9 AM to 7 PM) -- these are the days that I prefer to go groceries shopping.

That's how many steps I did at work last night (4 PM to 12:45 AM). I guess I am really lucky to be so active at work. Although, I was worn out by 10:45 PM. My eyes wanted to shutdown. I hung in there and finished my shift. I also noticed that my legs were tired -- kind of heavy. I wonder if I got enough sleep and rest before going to work.

Today, it's another 4 PM to 12:45 AM shift. I hope to get in at least 10,000 steps. More to come tomorrow. emoticon

18,642 steps today at work. It's 4:18 AM and I am still awake. I can't believe it. I got home around 3:30 AM and you would think that I would go to sleep immediately. Not! I'm still wired from all the walking, moving, lifting, etc. from work. I will go to sleep soon. emoticon

I always found it took at least an hour from getting home before I could settled down. Things that helped me:
Don't watch TV or Internet.
Don't eat anything heavy.
Try reading a light novel or short story.
Try listening to a story on mp3.

These helped me settle down.

I Wonder...

Thursday, October 01, 2009

I wonder if it's going to be like this every time I go work in the mornings during the weekdays. On Tuesday, I couldn't get in. I waited 30 minutes before someone came to let me in. Yesterday, I waited 12 minutes before someone came and opened the door to let me in. AND that someone wasn't an employee. I found it really strange. I don't get it. I don't understand why the managers can't hear the door bell. Oh well.

I did 17,050 steps at work yesterday. And that includes taking double steps to go up the stairs. So, can I say I went over 20,000 steps?

Today, I work at 6 PM and, if I am lucky, I can leave before 3 AM. I know we will have at least 2 midnight shows. I think that will put me at around 2:40 AM.
