I can't believe it's been 10 years since the attacks. I was at work in a meeting when I heard about the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Building. Yesterday, hubby and I played tennis (actually really bad tennis). We are going to try again today. I think it's best to go right back and figure out why we played so poorly. I was so disappointed that Federer lost. He had two match points (just like last year) and lost! What is more disappointing is that Federer was up 2 sets to none on Djokovic. The Murray v. Nadal was not as thrilling. I am rooting for Samantha Stosur to win her first major tournament. Go Sam!

While watching the US Open tennis match between Murray and Isner, I heard a huge pop and the the TV screen went dark. So, I replaced the lamp (it's a DLP TV) and didn't resolve the problem. Hubby and I ended up buying a new TV last night. We got a 46" Sony Bravia LCD TV. I will post the old TV on Craigslist to see if anyone want to take it and try to repair it.

The rain finally stopped yesterday afternoon and we had blue skies. Hubby and I are planning to play tennis today. We will also be watching the Federer v. Djokovic and Murray v. Nadal matches. Lots of tennis today.

I couldn't believe that it wasn't raining in NYC and all matches at the US Open were completed. Well, Federer and Tsonga had an hour and 25 minutes rain delay last night. I am so thrilled that Federer, Isner, Roddick won their matches. Today is going to be an exciting day. At least I hope it will be. Isner plays Murray and Roddick plays Nadal.

By the way, it rained like cats and dogs yesterday and it's still raining today. THREE consecutive days! emoticon

It rained again in NYC and the US Open was cancelled for the second day in a row. Nadal, Murray, and Roddick were outspoken about the tournament directors. They were upset that the had to play on wet courts which causes the lines to be extremely slippery. The tournament directors tried to get the women's matches on around 7:00 PM last night BUT the rain came again and once again CANCELLED. The weather doesn't look good for NYC today. So, I don't know what the tournament directors are going to do for today's matches.

Well, the US Open was rained out yesterday. I hope it's not rained out today. It will be tough for the players if their matches are postponed for another day.
