We arrived around 2 PM in Montreal yesterday. After unloading our luggage, we went to eat lunch across from the hotel. After lunch, we went shopping. We bought my spouse boots (he brought and wore his tennis shoes). The sidewalks were covered with snow and slush. He would have ruined his tennis shoes. After the shopping, we kept walking around the shopping district and stopped for coffee. Then, we took our packages back to the hotel. After er dropped the packages off, we got on the Metro and headed to dinner. We ate at a restaurant called Nuvu Bistro. The food was okay and had an interesting atmosphere. The wall was projecting an artist's work from 1996 to now. It was Besnor. I never heard of him. The restaurant owner collects his art. After dinner, we went to a gay strip bar. Definitely not my thing. My spouse and friends wanted to go. The gogo boys are too aggressive after they finish dancing on the stage. They walk around and stare at you. I was very uncomfortable. We finally left after 11PM because we needed to catch the Metro before midnight.

Today's plans are to be determined.

Lol! If you've never seen Davey Wavey's video blog on bathhouses (akin to your experience with the gogo boys), you should watch it.

In Gertrude Stein's biography she described a dinner she gave where her guests included Picasso, Pizzaro, Monet and a few others. She was an avid collector of the art and had the good fortune and good sense to have bought up their paintings in the early years before they were famous and pricey. She wrote that she satisfied the problem of conflicting artistic temperaments by seating each artist directly across from where his own paintings were hanging - every one was facing his own art. Clever plan, no?

We arrived in Wilkes-Barre around 7:30 PM last night. We drove 223 miles and took 4-1/2 hours. Now, we are heading to Montreal. It's 422 miles to Montreal from Wilkes-Barre. I'm estimating 7 hours because we will need to stop for gas.

Now, breakfast at the hotel. Hum...can I eat something healthy?

This afternoon, my spouse and I are driving to Montreal for Christmas. We are meeting another gay couple there. They arrived in Montreal on last Saturday. We are going to have a great time, I am certain.

I will be going to the gym shortly. My toe was fine last night so I will get my cardiovascular workout before I pick up my spouse at his office.

I am going to miss our cat, Scamper. I hope he will be okay. He's going to be alone for the most part. We have someone come in to feed him twice a day.

Yesterday's College Department commencement ceremony was more intimate and was nice. I was going to post photos but they are too large for the SP site.

Today, I have to go back to campus and get my two paintings for the graduating senior show. I didn't win the Wharton award(s). That's okay. I still believe in my work and that I am an amazing artist.

Tonight, my spouse and I are playing tennis. We are playing singles. It will be good to test my toe. I had bruised it three days ago. I felt the bruised toe when I walked in the commencement ceremonies.

Congratulations on your graduation. That's a true milestone. It's an accomplishment which, no matter what else happens in the future, can never be taken away. I'm very happy for you. Well done!

It was fun at the yesterday's commencement ceremony. The main guest speaker was phenomenal and challenged the graduates to do civil service.

Today, I will be participating in the commencement ceremony for my College Department. My best friend George will be attending with my spouse. So, today is it as I will start another chapter in my life.
