Ergh to A/C

Saturday, June 19, 2010

One thing I have learned since I moved to Texas just over 7 years ago. You can not survive without A/C during the summer. I have been living with broken A/C or central air (whatever you want to call it) for about 2 weeks now. emoticonTemps been fluctuating from 78-84 the firsts week. The A/C guy has been out here once. He assured me it would be back to blowing cold air. NOT!!! For the past week temps have been fluctuating form 84-93. IN THE HOUSE! SMH

He was suppose to have been here 3 days ago. emoticon Once again they said today! SMH

Regardless of the heat in my house I have still been doing my workouts. It has been harder. But believe me. Feels like I am working out in a sauna. My mojo is not what it should be because of the heat but at least I am blessed to be alive.

**** emoticonSORRY just had to vent****

OK, so you're renting, I'm gathering? If that's the case, I would hire my own A/C company. Let them know that they're not handling it in a reasonable period of time. You may want to investigate the tenant laws in your state, but it is likely that you can hire a company to get it fixed and deduct the repair cost from your rent. Again, I'm no attorney, but a landlord cannot just let you sit there in substandard living conditions.

Unfortunately there is no office to go to. All I can do is call and email! Believe me I have been doing both! I am trying to be considerate as possible. But now this is taking too long.

My next step is to get it fixed myself and take it off of rent!

I hate management companies. In the past 3 years I have dealt with too many to count and they all suck. I like good landlord's who handle their own business. I am about to start looking for a new place soon as I get back from vacation.

Vent on, vent on......... Geeeesh I'm surprised you haven't went to their office and went off something seriously. Have you also told them that not only are you on the verge of a dang heat stroke, but that your kids are suffering as well.... There just is no sense in people going through something like this, especially in this sweltering heat.

Well hun, you and your babies try and stay as cool as possible.

Good job on the working out, but maybe you need to get your workout on them dang heads of those repairmen.. LMAO!

Talk soon and take care.

New Week

Wednesday, June 16, 2010

This week has been slow for me. Walking wise I have made a point to get plenty of that in. Mini me has swim classes everynite M-Th. We go early so that she can play and I can walk before classes.

I did my weekly weigh in. No big difference.

I did my monthly measurements! WOW. Lost 5 inches in the waist. Not what I was expected but happy for it.

Have not made it to the gym. Too much summer activites. So the Wii has been pulled out. Room re-arranged. So now I can workout regularly with it. If I forget to work out mini me reminds me! She like to jog along with me sometimes.

Since the summer has started I have not been to the gym as usual. I have made it a couple times but not enough to be happy about. On the other hand I have been keeping busy with the kids. So my steps have been increasing some days.

Today I got my new swimsuit in the mail. Once I tried it on I was in heaven. It looks just as good in the picture on me. The only bad part is I need a smaller size. But I am going to keep it because I am blessed with a large top half. And most suits don't fit me well there and this one does.

emoticonWoot Woot for needing a smaller swimsuit!

Zumba and more

Saturday, June 05, 2010

Just got back from another long day with lots of walking. I enjoyed it all. I clocked in over 7000 steps yesterday and I know I have done at least 3000 steps today.

I went to the open house of the BRiCk! A nice new state of the art community center in Burleson. Enjoyed the freebies. Got a good Zumba workout in. (For free) and mini me gots to swim in their nice indoor pool. Lovely.

Now once again I am tired to the bone but I feel so satisfied!

College Day

Friday, June 04, 2010

Up early and ready to head out for my college tour today. Plenty of walking.... hey! Therefore I should be able to get my steps in with no problem today. The first tour is 2 1/2 hour walking. Not sure about the second one one. But I finally get to see what the whole campus looks like. I'm getting excited.

Gonna miss my workout again today but I will be okay! Walkikng in 96 degree weather will me my workout.

Tomorrow I am going to be attending a free 30 minute Zumba class. May even sign up if I can figure out the funds. Wish me luck.

Have a good weekend all.

Zumba is awesome. I started about 6 weeks ago. It is the only exercise I look forward to doing. Good luck with your college endeavors.
