Tired cause of the wind???

Wednesday, October 27, 2010

There is a tree growing too close to my bedroom window and we are having violent winds starting yesterday. Last night (last report I heard) there were gusts up to 48 miles per hour. So there's this small tree growing too close to the house by one of my bedroom windows and I could have sworn it sounded like a squirrel crawling around and scratching inside the wall and this morning I went outside and thought a large tree had fallen on the house but it was just this tree scraping the window and side of the house.

Needles to say, I didn't sleep very well cause with every big gust of wind I was wide awake.....

Tonight before I go to bed I am going out there and cut off the branches that touch the house...hope I can eliminate at least most of the irritating noise.....

Good idea to trim those branches back. It can be scary at night when you hear the scratching on the side of the house--especially in your bedroom.

We've had the wind too! I'm glad we don't have trees close to the house. Eliminate the noise if you can. HUGS!

11 hours of sleep....last night

Tuesday, October 26, 2010

I went to bed about 5:30 and woke up a few times and alarm went off at 5:00.... I am feeling better than yesterday when I had slept only 3-4 hours.

Sleeping 11 or more hours really cuts into one's day. I would like to sleep about 8 hours every night but as long as I am averaging that it is a great improvement.

Not much time to blog again. I was on time for work yesterday and am trying to turn over a new leaf... emoticon

12 hours of sleep...getting caught up on sleep debt....

Sunday, October 24, 2010

CPAP is helping me a lot and I hope to get caught up on at least some of my sleep debt. I am grateful I did not have to wait any longer to get help for my sleep difficulties as I was getting so run down and felt weak and tired most of the time. This weekend I got almost 24 hours (actually 23) of sleep and am feeling so much better.

I am glad I am living in an era of modern medicine as I probably wouldn't have survived to this ripe old age of 64 had I been born 100 years earlier. emoticon

P.S. I had a recipe accepted on Sparkrecipes.com...it is called Chipotle Egg Sandwich...it has mushrooms and low fat cheese and is a tasty breakfast (I had it yesterday and today).... LMK if you like it. emoticon

It is amazing how sleep loss can lead to so many problems for us. Try to picture how your Great Grandparents lived and survived. I can't imagine the things they did that to us are completely unfamiliar.

Slept a good 11 hours last night...feeling great...

Saturday, October 23, 2010

One side-effect of wearing a CPAP mask at night is that looking in the mirror in the morning is shocking as I looked like I had a whole new set of wrinkles under my eyes. I am sure this is temporary (but scary). I have to wear the mask rather snuggly to avoid air leaks under my eyes. After 30 days of the mask I am thinking I will try the nose prongs as an alternative since I have rather sensitive skin and don't want to produce more wrinkles than I already have.... emoticon

When I had the mask that covered the nose I noticed red marks at the top of my nose and on my cheeks. They didn't make me happy because they didn't go away all day:( I really like the nose prong one a lot better. emoticon

As long as you are getting good sleep, I would say the wrinkles shouldn't count. I's rahter have wrinkles and know I am waking up rested. HUGS!
