Eating more but lost lb has not come back...

I think my food choices have allowed me to eat more but stay within my calorie target. One thing I noticed is that my potassium intake one day was over 5000! Most of that was from eating 2 cups of beet greens. Perhaps next time I should eat only 1 cup for a serving of those. I also am surprised how much potassium is in cucumbers. I usually can eat 2 a day of those but yesterday at lunch I lost my appetite for them and actually threw away half of a cucumber cause it just didn't "hit the spot" as usual. (I also noticed it was a bit too ripe with lots of big seeds in it. Guess I prefer the young ones.)

Anyhow, today will be a short day at work (only 5 hours) due to going to work late in order to swim in the therapy pool before work and leaving work early to go to physical therapy. Overall, my pain level is getting better, but I still need to work on strenthening the muscles around the knees. My gait is not very good yet and I feel off balance when I walk and I walk quite slowly due to discomfort and/or weakness. I guess I will need to talk to the therapist about these issues. Hope everybody has a great day. I went to bed early last night and so when it was time to get up it wasn't such a struggle. I think I got about 8 hours of good sleep. I will go to bed early tonight again and hope to have a repeat of that. emoticon

Overall, I feel rested and knees are not quite so stiff. There was some local flooding so I should leave a little early to be sure I am not late for work.

I hope to swim in the outdoor pool today at the gym after work. The forecast is 93 about the time I expect to get there.

Hubby and I voted in the primary and the one I voted for has been declared the the winner for the candidate for MN governor. Minnesota has not had a Democratic governor for 12 years. Hope they break that record this year.

    Good for you, sleeping in. That will most likely be the best thing you've done so far in your recovery. Unfortunately, you better not make a habit of it :(.

Set alarm for 4:00 a.m. but reset it for 4:30....going swimming before work today

I don't have to leave the house until 5:30 so I decided getting up at 4:30 would be enough time to get ready. All I have to do is Spark, have coffee and breakfast, vitamins, brush teeth, get dressed...hey, it's already 5:00... gotta run!!!! emoticon

I hated getting up this morning when the alarm went off at 4:59 a.m. I did 5 minutes of bed exercises before the alarm went off and I think that helped my general overall achiness.

If I am to get in 10 minutes on the recumbent bike I had better hurry up and get the sparking out of the way.

Hope everybody gets rid of the Monday morning blues ..... emoticon
