I haven't heard the term "scatter brained" lately. But that's how I feel when I have too many things going on at once. I won't bore you with my laundry list of "things to worry about" or "my to-do list." Needles to say a bit of meditation is in order and perhaps some journaling would be a good idea to sort things out.
She gave me an injection of Synvisc-1 (new, 1-injection treatment) to help tide me over until I can do the knee replacement some time early summer. I also am getting a custom made knee support to take "the load off" the joint (a hinged knee brace) and I also got a temporary handicapped parking permit that is good until my birthday (May 31st). I am so happy they have accommodated all my wishes and now we will see how being nonweight bearing for exercises is going to work. She said I could use recumbent bike and water aerobics. She suggested elliptical machine but I have not done well with that machine and will wait to see if I can do it in about a month or so. I am taking it easy this afternoon after the injection and plan to not overdo.
I am trying to be hopeful that the knee isn't completely worn out and even if it is am hopeful I can live with it this way until I can have time off work to fix it, and the doctor has a short term solution to the discomfort (hate to call it pain, but it is).
Better get ready and leave soon so I am not late for the appointment I was so lucky to get so quickly. Will update when I get back.
I am so happy my friend is coming over at noon today to help me "organize" my bedroom. It has gotten to the point where I am tripping on things and with my knees being the way they are I decided I needed help so this project wouldn't take weeks.
We are going out for late lunch afterwards and that is something to look forward to. CPK (California Pizza Kitchen has some kick-*** salads (I order 1/2 salads as they are too huge otherwise.)
Temp is going up to 35 ABOVE ZERO today. A nice January thaw....
