I can't believe I did it. I did the treadmill a whole hour and walked 3 miles and made no excuses. Yesterday I felt bad cause I got a blister from the wrong shoes and socks and lasted only 10 minutes on the treadmill and then did not swim afterwards. But today, after the treadmill I tried my first water aerobics class and, of course, was a little confused about how to do some of the exercises and my knees got sore and got cramps in my calves, but overall I think I did more than 50% of the exercises. I plan to walk tomorrow outside if the weather cooperates. I can go around Lake Harriet which is about 2-3/4 miles around and it is a nice place to walk.
In addition I planned my food consumption and actually took in only 1300 calories and all healthy things. No ice cream. I ate half a whole wheat pita with Bettern' Peanut butter on it. After the heavy duty exerising I was ravenous and the stir fried chicken breast with salad tasted so much better. I think it was partly because I was so darn hungry. Not just hungry, but extremely hungry. I stir fried the chicken cause I knew if I waited to cook it a slower way I probably would have snacked on something not so healthy and not so high in protein. I finally have a lot of foods in my favorites (for tracking nutrition) and so keeping the food diary on line is getting easier. I really struggled with that in the beginning but now I think it is easier than keeping handwritten notes.
P.S. I actually broke a sweat on the treadmill.
