Found a handyman to mow, etc..

Sunday, June 24, 2012

It is my husband's grandson (he is about 32 and unemployed). I can finally quit harassing my husband about what a poor job of mowing he has been doing.

I bought a high-powered brush cutter which I am afraid to use and I am afraid to let hubby use, but grandson has plenty of experience and lots of common sense so everything was copestetic///..

The yard looks great and he was happy to earn some money. emoticon

Great job!! If you were willing to lend him the equipment maybe he could start his own company.
the biggest issue is the willingness to work.

Slept better last night...

Thursday, June 21, 2012

Dr gave me some cough syrup that helped me sleep last night...finally. It was nice to wake up only once during the night for a change. She said if I still have this cough in another week she would put me on antibiotics just in case it is not a virus.

Just getting my sleep should help me get over this I would think.

Teddy sorry to hear things aren't going well. While we were on vacation last week, one of the girls was going through the same thing. Felt so bad for her. She couldn't really enjoy herself. Hope now that things are getting better.

I read the cough blog too. Mom has had a cough for about a year and no one has done any thing about it. it is a little like a smokers cough.

I am glad you got some sleep last night and hope you can avoid needing antibiotics.

I might have a project brewing on the team page.

Nonproductive cough hanging on...

Wednesday, June 20, 2012

I have a Dr. Appointment this afternoon.

I came to work at 6:15 so I could get off in time for Dr. appointment.

I am starting to lose my voice again, but have noticed the cough is not a real cough...nothing comes up...

I am waking up every hour or less at night in spite of using cough syrup.

This came on about 2 weeks ago. I have never had a "cold" quite like this before.

I tried Mucinex this morning to see if it would loosen me up but so far ...nada...

Just getting caught up on blogs.......this is not fun. Sometimes I think that dry cough is worse since it's like a constant tickle.

Did you ever do that? Cooking in a crockpot without the crock?

Sunday, June 17, 2012

I was up until midnight but slept until 10:30 andam still not quite awake.

Well, I found out why the crockpot didn't look quite right ...it started leaking water all over the stove....forgot to put the crock in the crockpot.....I got a deal on pinto beans at Cub Foods yesterday and decided to soak some and cook them today. It certainly helps to put the crock in the crockpot...This goes into the category of "I learn by my mistakes" or as my minister used to say, "I had some unexpected learning."

I swam 20 minutes yesterday and hope to swim 30 minutes today. When I have issues with congestion I swim mostly on my back and also upright exercises to get my knees loosened up.

It is going to be hot today and humid as it rained a bunch yesterday.

Just plain hot and no rain. The grass is all crunchy-not a
good sign. Take care-hugs!

I like that saying from your minister. I am cooking with the crockpot today so I will remember your experience and heed. I have put my learning experience like this into the back of my mind hopefully never to see the light of emoticon in any one else's eyes! emoticon
