Now I have laryngitis and am waiting for a 24-hour throat culture result...

Friday, June 08, 2012

I started antibiotics (according to dr.) in case it is a Strep throat. On Wednesday was coming down with a cold, scratchy throat, postnasal drip and small cough with sneezing.

On Thurday my voice was begining to sound bad.

Today on Friday part of my voice is gone and certain sounds can be said but talking on the phone is impossible.

Saw Urgent Care doctor yesterday on way home from work and I took today off as I also feel somewhat sick. I did not sleep well due to choking when lying down and had to spend half the night sitting up and coughing.

Hope it is better tomorrow.

I have OMG!!!!

Wednesday, June 06, 2012

So a nurse from the insurance company called and said I qualify for a program to have a regular nurse check on me by phone to discuss my health concerns. She said since I had MG I qualify...I had to think for a second...oh, yeah....it's myasthenia gravis. I later thought I actually have ocular myasthenia gravis (OMG!!)... Well, isn't that special? emoticon

That should work for everyone but for you, it is a very
good thing. Take advantage of every program you can
get. HUGS!

Blisters subsided without draining.

Wednesday, June 06, 2012

It is a minor miracle. The huge blisters on the balls of my feet (see previous blog) have healed without incident. I was picturing trying to walk on my heels for a couple of weeks but it does not appear that will be necessary.

Praisethelord!!!

NOTE TO SELF: DO NOT USE TREADMILL BAREFOOTED!!!

Tuesday, June 05, 2012

I was in a hurry and decided to go 10 minutes on the treadmill barefooted...Big mistake. I now have two huge blisters on the balls of my feet and they are on the verge of popping. At which point I am not sure how walking will be impacted. Brings back memories of wearing new hiking boots in Glacier Park about 40 years ago, hiking in the mountains 26 miles and having blisters on the entire heel on both feet which did pop and I ended up hobbling arround as I had to walk on the balls of my feet and ended up with severe muscle cramps in my calves. Next stop after Glacier Park was the Grand Canyon and I was barely able to hobble to the lookout point (did it only once) and was grateful when I spent the next week in the car meanderng our way back to Minnesota. Oh, boy what memories!!! emoticon emoticon

We live and learn by our mistakes, no matter how small. I have arthritis, and my feet, I take care of. Hope you are a fast healer.
