Couldn't swim as the pool was too cold (have arthritis and fibromyalgia) so I went in the whirlpool and after 10 minutes they shut that down and drained it!.... So I went to the steam room for about 10 minutes and took a long, hot shower. Didn't get much exercise today but got a really good start on my medical reimbursement paperwork. For some reason I do not come up with $3000 for medical expenses (not counting dental, but including prescriptions). I know I paid $3000 out cause I reached the max out of pocket my June 22nd. So now I am trying to get the dental EOBs and bills from the glasses store. I went on line and the EOBs on line say they are no proof of billing!!! Oh, bother!!! emoticon

Saturday...no smoothie today. and my "stupid human trick"

The omelet had 1 egg plus a scoop of egg white powder, 1 tomato and 1 cup of mushrooms. I cannot eat raw mushroom so browned them in some sesame oil and put the other ingredients (plus a bit of water) in the blender and poured that on top of the mushrooms. Flipping this over was a bit trickty but managed. Then ate this high protein omelet with some chunky salsa with black beans and corn in the ingredients.

I love the green coconuts and went out on the front steps in my nightshirt to use a hatchet to open it and just finished drinking the coconut water and for dessert will have the soft coconut meat (my cat, Poof, will come running when he smells it).

Plan to go to gym at 5:00 today. The pool was closed yesterday so I am really looking forward to my usual half hour swim. (I might add 15 minutes of floating to relax....have you ever seen someone float standing up? One of my stupid human tricks.)

    Raw mushrooms- I tried them once , just the thought of where they grow is enough to convince me that cooking them is a very good idea.

That sounds like a good floating trick!!

My computer chip will tell the truth, my compliance is about 98% which is a good thing. I hear of so many people who have CPAP machine prescribed and then do not use them. Some of those people even have died because they "didn't like" using the machine. I sleep better but not perfectly. I have been waking up quite often during the night (about every 2 hours) but it is a big improvement over what I used to do and I usually get up pretty easily (of course with alarm). I woke up at 3:00 because I had been in bed for 8 hours at that point. I was in bed about 10 hours and probably got a total of 8 hours of sleep.

I am up early and have to leave soon to get to work at 6:00 today in order to get to the clinic on time.

P.S. One time when I woke up a show called Accidental Millionaire was on. It was on Green Planet (?) and was a show about people finding very valuable items either in their attics or on curb or thrift store or even inherited. Very interesting. One lady found a million dollar painting at the curb with the garbage and it turned out it had been stolen about 30 years ago and she got a $10,000 reward from the owner and a finders fee from the auction house (Sotheby's). When she realized it was a stolen painting she got paranoid and was afraid she would go to prison and at first Sotheby's did not believe she even had the painting. That show kept me awake during the night for about 30 minutes and I set my timer on the t.v. to 30 minutes so I would go back to sleep.,,LOL

Smoothie #5...pinkish but not sweet...

Today's smoothie is not as sweet cause I decided to have my banana and blueberries on top of my corn chex.

Smoothie had 4 plum tomatoes, 6 mini peppers (red and orange), 1 tangerine, 1 scoop of egg white powder and 2 tbs of ground flax seed, 2 pkts of stevia (how could it not be sweet?)....

It did not taste as good as my earlier smoothies so next time will put in more fruit.

Today I plan to finish up doing my medical reimbursements for last year (the deadline is March 31st)... so it will be nice to get a check to tide me over for awhile. Have to look into dental coverage for my retirement. emoticon

Smoothie #4...an orange one instead of green

Today's smoothie has carrots, banana, red and orange sweet peppers, stevia and water. When I realized I had forgotten my protein powder (egg white or soy) it was too late as I did not want to be late for work 3 days in a row....(I was on time today)...

I did have hummus and tabouli with cucumber on whole wheat pita bread, so will have to get some extra protein in for dinner tonight. I have thawed out ground turkey to have a turkey burger.

I have officially lost (according to the gym's scale) about 2.5 lbs. I like to weigh myself in the morning before I eat and am probably a bit dehydrated so I showed a larger loss but am happy with the general downward direction of my weight.
