I thnik all the veggies I drank yesterday morning helped with additional weight loss. I was a bit discouraged with only a 1 lb weight loss in 7 days but 4 lb in 8 days is soooo much better. We were told to weigh only once a week but I need to know daily how I am doing. I realize water deprivation versus sodium retention can affect the numbers on the scale but I am still pleased to see a nice drop in 8 days.
Today I had another interesting smoothie: Cooked collards, raw chinese broccoli, celery (was a bit stringy), frozen banana, fresh strawberries, stevia sweetened coconut syrup, 1 pkt of stevia, lots of water. I used a jumbo straw to drink this (they are available at the Asian grocery store). I am not sure but I think I also added a scoop of egg white powder for another 22 grams of protein.
I also made a small omelet with 1 fresh egg, 1 scoop of egg white powder and 2 ounces of low fat ham with .25 cup of salsa.
About 600 calories but since I got up fairly late this is like a brunch for me. Will have a small unch and will be able to eat a somewhat normal sized dinner.
