Sigh...it's only Tuesday....

Though I am still on a 4 hour a day work schedule it is not easy being back at work. Luckily yesterday there were not very many forms to be stuffed into envelopes so I was able to do more printing of bills and that involves more computer work which is much easier on my hands than stuffing envelopes.

I am having my annual review today and it is 3 years since I started this job. I hope my review is positive and it will be nice to get this meeting out of the way.

Itseems while I was on my medical leave (for hand surgery) I got into some bad habits: Staying up too late and wasting a lot of time playing scrabble online. I am finally back to Sparking in the morning when I get up (at 5:00 a.m.) It is hard to get used to getting up early after sleeping in for 3 weeks but I just have to get to bed earlier...I did go to bed about 9:00 last night and fell asleep pretty quickly. Perhaps I need to go to bed at 8:00, so plan to try that tonight.

My body is still rebelling against the new/old schedule. I am definitely glad today is Friday. Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

A SNAFU upon return to work...

So there I was sitting at my desk and the department manager informed me that I was to work full time. Apparently I had forgotten to mention to the PA-C that I wanted to return to wok part time (for 2 weeks) and I didn't read the return to work slip.....

I worked until I couldn't stand it (about 5 hours) and my hand was quite painful so I went home and talked to the PA-C (physician's assistant- consultant) the next day (Wednesday) and he faxed me a work slip with addendum stating I could work up to 4 hours a day for 3 weeks. That worked out well for me as I had only requested 2 weeks of part time.

I plan to get some doctor and dentist appontments taken care of in early afternoons.... have to get my teeth cleaned, get a followup visit wtih neurologist (regarding my eyes) and see the podiatrist for removal of my left big toenail. (Can hardly wait for that last one!)

Back to work today after 3 week medical leave...

I got my stitches out last week on Monday and today I start back half time for 2 weeks. Doctor put restrictions on (5 lb lifting restriction and no more than 2 hours of stuffing envelopes as it requires a lot of dexterity). It will seem strange going back to work after3 week "vacation."

I would have loved to have gone to a warm climate for the last week but unfortunately could not afford it. I did enjoy sleeping late (9 and 10 a.m.) instead of my usual 5 a.m.

Gotta run now as I have to get ready for work. Hope everyone has a great day.

Have I forgotten how to type? Anyhow have been getting lots of rest. Have not been ambitious about cleaning the house (it would be one-handed so am waiting awhile yet before I do anything "useful."

So far am resting and sleeping long at night. Looking forward to getting the stitches out in 5 days. Can't wait to swim and whirlpool again.
