Another 5:00 a.m. alarm...

Tomorrow have to get up at 4:00 a.m. so won't be seeing the beginning of Letterman....which usually puts me to sleep by the first commercial. Thank goodness I found my t.v. timer so those early morning infomercials don't wake me up.

I have been doing well with the leg wrapping for edema of the ankles and calves (for those darn cankles). It seems to be working. I always take off one day. Last night I was hot when I went to bed so I have to put them on this morning and am not looking forward to today as it is supposed to get up to 95 to 100.

Time to make my coffee...hope everyone has a great day.... emoticon

    I ended up not wearing my leg wraps today as I ran out of time..(it takes about 20 to 25 minutes to put them on) and I really didn't want to wear them with the high humidity and reported high temps today. I think not wearing them 1 day per week is okay. I am seeing the edema clinic therapist tomorrow and we will see what she says about that. I haven't seen her for a month and I really think there has been more improvement. Hopefully I will be able to get the stockings to wear soon instead of doing all that wrapping...

    My husband's cardiologist gave him some pills to eliminate the water since wrapping didn't work for him.

    Leg wraps make you hotter - I need them too but haven't tried them yet. Do they really work?? Water, water, water, water, water,...... It does a body good!

    IT'S GOING TO BE HOT HERE, TOO, BUT NOT AS HOT AS THERE. HIGH 80S. HANG IN THERE, STAY HYDRATED AND STAY COOL.

I feel pretty rested....I woke up only once that I recall which is better than my pattern lately. I am working my regular hours today so I set alarm for 5:00 to allow plenty of time for a healthy breakfast and sparking....

We are coming into some really hot weather (for MN) but the outdoor pool at the gym was freezing yesterday though it was 87 degrees. By Thursday it is supposed to go to about 95...but if they don't turn up the temp on the heater it will still be too cold for me with my arthritis. I will try it, however.

Last night I swam indoors and my knees feel much better.... emoticon

The traction machine for my neck seems to be helpful and next time I go in about a week I will get my own home machine to take home and use ad lib....

Today I have to bring my CPAP machine with me again as when I lie down I have trouble breathing.

Packed a healthy lunch today with baba ganush, cucumbers, tomatoes, watermelon and a protein bar. emoticon

Feel better after an 11-hour sleep....

I didn't take a nap yesterday afternoon as I was tempted to..instead I went to bed early and got a really good night's sleep and I feel much better today.

I am starting a new week tracking for Weight Watchers and hope to lose weight ths week instead of gaining 1.8 lb like I did last week. Part of the reason, ofcourse, is that I did not track my food and ate way too much sugar, carbs and fat. Also, I did not exercise my usual amount. (Could there be a correlation between eating those foods and feeling lethargic?) hmmmmmmm emoticon

I woke up to an info-mercial this morning promising I would lose 60 lb in a month...if I only send them $120 and follow thei program. I think $40 a month for WW is enough...but eventually I will be back to Sparkpeople only which is freeeee~~~!!! emoticon
