Thursday early schedule in order to go to lymphedema clinic...

Alarm went off at 4:00 a.m. A bit restless during the night but am finally awake (an hour after the alarm went off...had my coffee)...

Get to work 6 to 1 today so will have about 1.5 hours of PTO to accommodate for clinic visit. My supervisor has been good about being flexible for medical appts. Starting next week it will be twice a week working 6 to 2:30 for at least a month (reg hours are 7 to 3:30)....

I really like working the earlier shift better as the traffic is much lighter and I can get to the gym earlier...and tonight at 7:00 p.m. is The Big Bang Theory (my favorite t.v. show).... gets me snickering a lot.

Daughter was out of town for a week and I have gotten an email that she is okay but no mention of her knee. emoticon

Well, off to work. Things have been going a bit better with one of my "duties" that I hadn't done for over 3 months and almost forgot how to do..... emoticon

Weight today is same as yesterday which is good news....

Slept better last night with new CPAP pillow

I ended up buying two different CPAP pillows on Ebay and just got the 2nd one yesterday. Can't decide which one work better but do feel my neck pain has subsided somewhat as I am no longer stretching my neck to get into a side sleeping position. I will try the newer one again tonight and perhaps even try it for a week before I decide. I hated spending the money and even "repurposed" or redesinged a pillow I had but it didn't work out so broke down and purchased 2 different ones.

The scale showed another 1 lb loss this morning and I think eating all this fruit and vegetables is probably the main reason. This morning I do feel a bit dehydrated so will push the water today. Since Saturday my weight has gone down 7 lb which is truly amazing. I have been faithfully tracking all my food on weight watchers web site and that is more focused on points. I do wish, however, the nutrition was similar to Spark People. In order to see the proportions of carbs, protein, fats I need to track on both Spark People and Weight Watchers which is tedious, to put it lightly. (How about a pain in the ***?)

My coffee is done brewing so adios, amigos!!!!


P.S. for those interested in CPAP pillows... at my clinic they cost $100. I found the best one on Ebay (other places much more expensive for same brand)...for $50 including shipping. It is a "memory foam" type of material with a pillow case that zips off. It is the one that shows all the levels of the pillow with different colors. The other one was about $10 cheaper and is a polyester type material and it is a (pillow) toss up which one I like better.

    ive read about the cpap pillows and was wondering are they worth the cost ? i just deal with my cpap ive gotten use to it lol its my best friend next to my dw and its her best friend to so she can sleep lol emoticon

    You are doing great..losing weight, tracking and eating those fruits and veggies. I never heard of a Cpap pillow. I will have to investigate. Thanks for introducing the thought! emoticon emoticon emoticon

    I'm glad the CPAP pillow is helping. I'm happy with mine, but others do not like it. They are so expensive it makes one hesitant to try it. Good for you with the additional weight loss.

Awake at 3:30 a.m.

A bit stressed out and unable to stay asleep this a.m.

Hope work goes a bit better than yesterday. Had a few problems with fax machine and doing some of my other "duties."

Arranged for a real estate salesman to come by this Thursday to give us a "market evaluation." There is talk of interest going higher and there is some movement in the market. Today and tomorrow hope to get living room somewhat more presentable. It seems housework has been difficult with all my aches and pains from arthritis and fibromyalgia so have "let it go" to the point it will be embarassing to have someone come in the house. I am at the point where living in a smaller space would be a relief.

Got up and now feel that another hour of sleep would be a good idea. (Weighed in and showed another 1-1/2 lb loss. WW is good so far.)

    I have been waking up at 3 and usually can't get back to sleep until around 5 or 5:30. Just makes me tireder. WAY TO GO on your weight loss!!! Keep up the great work.

    Congrats on the weight loss. I too am having problems...I've been waking up around 3 am but can usually fall back to sleep and recently waking up early at 4:30 instead of 5. Not sure what's going on.

I will just have to remember those midday pills as last night was unable to focus even at 200% on the computer....

I am so relieved that this morning my vision is fine now.

Weight Watchers way of counting points is interesting.... I think having most veggies and fruits at 0 points is a way of encouraging "us" to eat more healthy foods. I noticed avocados are a high point fruit and will have to figure a way to fit them in my points as I have two of them sitting in my fruit bowl and can't bear to waste them. Perhaps I will have one on my salad this evening.

Yesterday because of having trouble with my eyes trying to track on both WW and SP was not possible but am so glad I will be able to do that now.

This morning I will make a protein drink (4 pts) to bring with me to work. I use 1 scoop of powdered egg whites and 1 scoop of soy protein with stevia for sweetener and a vit C packet for flavor and lots of ice..... emoticon
