When I thought I was falling out of bed, I was but didn't know it.
My adjustable bed mattress slides toward the side I am on if I am not in the middle of the bed while moving up and down.
So after investigating the dizzy effect thoroughly I came to this conclusion: The mattress does not have a box spring, the springs are inside the mattress. When I flopped my head down forcefully the springs continued to vibrate up and down. When adding this effect to the fact that the right side of the mattress was hanging 6 inches off the base, my head actually did fall.
I am happy I don't have vertigo. I had it 5 mornings in a row after getting my new mattress and have not had it since I figured out the logistics of it all.
I was very surprised when I pounded on the mattress and put my ear down and felt the up and down spring movement that continued for 20 seconds or more.
I tried to explain this to my adult daughter and she thought I was a bit daft. I am so glad I only went to see one doctor regarding this and didn't see a dizziness specialist about this since I don't have vertigo except when bouncing too hard on my bed.
All in all I find this humorous and am glad I figured it out.
