1,000 fitness mins a month


read 1 book a week (52 books a year)


reintroduce non-water based exercises


regain my standing endurance (to where i can stand in place with no back pain)


regain my walking endurance (to where I can walk for 30 mins without needing to sit down due to back pain)



To do some form of movement that would be considered fitness based daily as i would love to do a 365 days in a row fitness streak like Mostmom1 on sparks did. Even when i am at work I can do something.





To change my attitude about asking questions/and my tendancy to just assume things.





To become more social(less introverted) when i am around people i do not know very well. Bacially become less private and closed off to people in general....get out of my shell LOL





Laugh outloud more. Find humor in stupid commercials etc. Choose fun/positive tv shows more often and less things that bring me down......watch less of the filled with bad news kind of programming for a change.

New year fitness goal

It has been a long time since my last blog.......way too long LOL

I am still going to the pool at the Y. Although my plan of 4 days a week fell through. Not out of want but out of scheduling. Between my rotating work schedule and the Y making changes in the pool schedule I have had to improvise my goal of water exercise. Some weeks I can get to the MWF class making it 3 times that week, other weeks i can only go to 2 of those days and there is at least 1 week in the month I can only get to the Y on those days 1 time that week.....this is due to my rotating work days.

I am setting myself a fitness mins goal of 1,000 mins a month. Most of these mins will be met in the pool at the Y as I try to be in the water for 90 mins each visit. But using just the pool time causes me to fall short of the 1,000 min goal so I will have to fill that time in with other activities that cause me the least amount of pain.

Pool time

I am really enjoying being in the pool at the YMCA. Have been going for a week now and have been in the water Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Next week will be fewer days because of my work schedule. I cant go on Wednesday emoticon as i will be at work. Today has been my longest time so far of 70 mins in the water.

  Good for you! I used to love going to the pool but haven't gone for a number of years.

It seems when you get older a person gets in a rut and doesn't get out of it.

    Cool! I love pool exercises. I do it about 3 X a week. I start first by walking across the pool and back for about 5 minutes then sideways walking and then backwards.
Then i do Squats, heel then toe, leg lifts and sideways lifts arm raises sideways and front and back and i use 2 noodles to do exercise bike. I stay moving for the full time i'm in there. Make sure you shower after or you can get athletes foot.
