It's a new year! I often wonder why people wait till the beginning of a year to start making changes?? I guess it's a good place to start eh? I have been wanting to make changes for a long time, especially in the area of losing weight. I signed up back in Sept but really haven't done much with this site as of yet. My poor lame excuse-- I am too busy! While, it's true I got quite busy with my job and all......it's really a poor excuse to not do the things I really want to do.
Someone really close to me once said to me when I made the reply of I just don't have time: You do have time. You have to make the time to do what it is you really want to do. So HOW bad do I want this?
My doctor told me this summer, he will do his best in helping me in losing weight, by encouraging me and giving me advice, and helping me medically, but that when it came right down to it, it was up to me to lose that weight. I had to decide how I wanted to do it, and when.
So after, months of contemplating, and thinking about it..........I am done thinking. I am ready to do! My goal: To lose 70 lbs. I would love to lose about 50 lbs by July as that is when I see my Doctor again.
My mom found me a treadmill for very cheap, so with winter months coming up-- there is really no excuse not to get my walks in. Lately the weather has been gorgeous-- so good times to go walking-- if it isn't dark when I leave work.
I am ready! So here is to the beginning of my journey to becoming healthy!
