Yesterday and today, I didn't manage to fit in any exercise either day. The good news, however, is that I was actually disappointed when things came up and derailed my exercise plans. That's certainly a good sign.
I just have to figure a way to fit in exercise regardless of how busy life gets. I can't wait for things in my life to calm down so it will be easier to work out. This IS life.
I know that people who exercise in the AM have more success in sticking with their workouts. It just makes sense. Get it done before.....well, before a gazillion different things interfere.
But I'm starting a new job on Thursday, with a longer commute. Getting up at 5:45 to leave the house at 7:00 is going to be tough enough.
Yesterday's calories were 1469, 8 waters, 3 F&V
Today's calories were 1278, 8 waters, 3 F&V
It feels good that I'm lowering my calories and increasing my F&V.
1600 calories max, 8 waters, 3 F&V, 20 min. cardio, 5 ST exercises.

Did pretty well today. Calories 1226 & 8 waters. I hadn't planned any exercise today, since I'm easing myself into it. I figured I'd give myself a midweek day off.
But I did plan to have 2 F&V, and never worked the 2nd one in. I didn't plan for it specifically and just thought I'd work it in somewhere, but I got busy and.....
Lesson learned. PLAN the specifics of my F&V.
So tomorrow's goals:
1600 calories (I know I've been staying well under my max, but I'm still dropping the official calorie limit gradually).
3 F&V - banana with breakfast, broccoli & grape tomatoes with chicken pasta primavera for dinner
5 ST exercises
Can't believe it's Thursday already tomorrow. Going to check out my new classroom a little more after work tomorrow. It's going to be hard leaving my current Pre-K love bugs, but I'm getting excited about this new opportunity.

Made it through a second day of sticking with my goals. My calories were 1255, had my 8 waters (water is always pretty easy for me), and had my 2 F&V (not so easy). Even did the 5 dreaded ST exercises.
I appreciate those of you who've taken the time to post a comment - it does help a lot. You never know when someone will say the one thing that sticks with you, that makes a difference.
But even if nobody comments, just knowing that I stated things publicly is helping to motivate me to complete what I said I would.
Tomorrow: Calories 1650, 8 waters, 2 F&V.

Well, I did what I said I'd do today:
calories below my max of 1650: 1429
20 min. walk
I reminded myself every once in a while throughout the day that I was going for a walk after work. Knowing that I put it in a blog put pressure on me to follow through.

5 ST exercises
This will be tougher, since I hate ST. Again, public pressure should help.

I'm really having trouble sticking to what I say I'll do. So I'm hoping that if I put it out there and say what my goals are for tomorrow, I'll feel more committed to following through.

I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's better than I've been doing lately. Even baby steps are still progress, right?
