So yesterday I made it to work, but then just conked out - plus my tummy was giving me lots of trouble I ended up leaving at 9:30am, went home and took some Dramamine and went to sleep for a few hours. I didn't eat much, had some soup for lunch and crackers with apple juice for dinner. Needless to say, my weight's down a bit, and I still have little appetite. My tummy is still iffy today, but I can't afford to miss any more work. Hopefully when I get home I'll be able to do a little bit of Pilates, but probably no running - my left knee's bothering me a bit anyway, so probably will just rest up.

Well last weekend my older daughter told me she was cancelling the wedding, and that she and her fiancee were running off to Las Vegas to get married - and they DID!!! It was a stupid thing, but I got all depressed and ate everything in sight (that's how I treat depression - my bad!)!!! Yeah, I need to work on that. Anyway, I successfully gained back almost everything I've lost this year , so today I'm being honest and re-setting my weight tracker to reflect that. Also, starting today and for the next 2 weeks I'm doubling down on my diet and exercising, to try and reverse some of the damage from last weekend. For the next 2 weeks, I'm purging the junky comfort food from my diet - no cupcakes, no brownies, no yummy Starbucks coffees, etc. Instead, more fruits/veggies/whole grains, and logging that food in the SparkPeople nutrition counter. And back into running 3x week, and doing SOMETHING the other 4 days - elliptical, my new Bootcamp DVD, gardening, whatever, just MOVE!!! (Nothing on TV to watch this week anyway ) This is in addition to the walking I do on my breaks at work - surely I can keep this up for 2 weeks! I will record this and keep everyone informed; this is my promise to ME!

This probably comes as no big surprise to anyone, but I seriously didn't know HOW many calories before today - how about 2500!?! Now, THAT'S just too many!

Okay, I'm NOT starving myself, but I know I've GOT to get serious about my diet. So I'm back to logging my food intake, trying to stay between 1200 - 1550 calories. I logged yesterday and hit that target at 1509, and yes, I was HUNGRY! Just lets me know how much I've been overdoing the sweets & comfort food!
Btw, if you haven't seen the movie yet, I must say "The Hunger Games" is an excellent film - yes it's dark and disturbing, but the acting was excellent, especially Jennifer Lawrence. But Donald Sutherland was also good as the creepy President, and Woody Harrelson was perfect as the only person in the district to survive the Hunger Games - he played a broken-down drunk, which was really understandable given the situation. Yes it's violent, but not obsessively bloody. Children die, but the movie focuses more on the tragedy than cool fight scenes (although you kind of cheer when the knife-wielding "mean girl" gets it!). I read the 1st book and it was a hard read, but I REALLY enjoyed the movie - I just can't shut up about it!
