GIVING THE FINGER..

So yesterday was a good day working out..
bad day personally...
I was doing work.. and I cut my thumb really bad..
Thru parts of the finger and thru the nail...
Should have gone to the doctor.. being a guy.. still have not gone..
oh well... I will try to do more stuff tomm..

    I guess I will pick up right where these ladies left off.
I work in the surgery department of a hospital. We have done numerous amputations on "but it was just a little sore"!!!

If you are going to be a typical guy, at least

KEEP IT CLEAN!!!!

    Ouch! Being married to a guy that worked in a kitchen for years and seeing the infections that can set in so quickly I'd recommend getting it looked at. If nothing but for piece of mind. Hope it heals soon!

    Taz,

There are soooooooo many things growing out there these days that can infect a wound. I am not saying that you necessarily have to go to a doctor IF there are no signs of infection in the wound and IF it does not need any stitches. However, you need to keep it CLEAN and covered! I would ask at the pharmacy or a DME company (look in the phone book under medical supplies - DME stands for durable medical equipment) and ask for a silver based wound care product. Silvasorb gel is a good one. Bacteria cannot grow in the presense of silver and there are many wound care products on the market that contain it (they are not cheap - sorry, but with a deep cut they are well worth it) If you cannot find one that way, look online under Naturessunshine.com and buy some there liquid silver. With kids in the house and the flu season coming I would want some silver products in the house anyway! (yep, I am a home care nurse to the core - been doing it for over 20 years lol)

BEATING HUMP DAY

I decided to make Hump day My B.... //// LOL. I walked for over 25,000 steps today.
Did close to 2 hours of weights at gym.. And more stuff at home.. Thats it for today .. I am now tired ..lol

NEW MONTH NEW GOALS..

A couple of days ago I put my new goals for the rest of teh year up in here..
THen I got into my notebook ans started planning it out..
I have some big goals in there including 15 pounds loss this month..

I wonder ..I know alot of people make new goals every month.. I wonder if they plan it out..
I wish There was a way we could all get together and share our goals and come up with a plan together..

OH CRAP.. There is a place its called SPARK PEOPLE..lol.. BUt you know there are alot of people that dont take advanatge of this site..They need to open up and share more.. But they feel scared or shy or ashamed.. How do I know because I used to feel like that..

WEll I dont anymore.. Hope they get over it also .. And take full advantage of this site..
I keeo seeing too many people not getting the most of here.. It works. Well it worked for me and is still working.. Hope everyone that reads this .. Soreads the word and tell people to give it theer all.

    Well I plan my workouts or what I may want to change in my eating habits, but I don't plan on weight loss. Simply because my system is all messed up right now and I don't want to feel like a failure if I don't hit that "big" number. For now I am simply planning on losing 2 lbs per week which is within the healthy level. Really my biggest goal right now is 25 lbs by Christmas. If I get that, I will be blissfully happy!!! But of course I will give it my all to try to beat that number. Good for you for setting those high goals though!!

    Other than scheduling my workouts I don't really plan my weight loss. I watch what I eat and do my workouts. I am a bit flakey when it comes to what I do for a workout, one day I do a DVD, another I do one of my 4 Wii workout games (I rotate through the four so it doesn't look like I do any of them much.....LOL).

Ok ..September is here... 4 months left in the year..
Here is what i need to do in those 4 months.
Sept.--- WILL LOSE 15 PDS.. WALK OVER 20,000 STEPS A DAY.. BETTER CONDITIONING
Oct.-----WILL LOSE 10 PDS.. START JOGGING MORE.. MORE WEIGHTS
Nov.-----WILL LOSE 8 PDS.. CONSTANT JOGGING.. GET MORE TONED WITH WEIGHTS
Dec.-----WILL LOSE 8 PDS.. JOG EVERYWHERE.. BELLY SHOULD BE GETTING FLATTER
THATS IT FOR NOW.. WILL UPDATE ALL THE TIME.

LETS GO CRAZY

Well I was planning to rest a bit.. then I talked to an old friend.. that i have not spoken to in years.. and he tells me thru FACEBOK no less. that he had a heart attack 4 weeks ago..
He is younger then me ..
I went nuts,..
walked over 22,000 steps..
went to gym for over 2.5 hours .. lifted way too many weights...
may regret all of this tomm.
BUT FOR TODAY IT FELT GREAT..
I will re-think my rest day..LOl
