BLEW IT BIG TIME!!!

Sunday, September 04, 2011

Well after a great day of tracking, cardio and lots of water, wouldnt you know it, the cooks decide we are gonna have the mother of all meals! tbone steak, baked potato, mixed veggies and fried shrimp. well i failed miserably. I have been doing so good up till now, so i ate half the tbone, 3/4 of the baked potato with sour cream, all the veggies and 3 pieces of fried shrimp. Not a good calorie total. =( and to top it all off, i am enjoying the first soda in two weeks, a cold COKE ZERO. well what is done is done, at about 8pm I am gonna let Jillian Micheals kick my butt for 30 mins. will that help at all???? tomorrow is another day.

YAHOO! LEVEL 2

Sunday, September 04, 2011

I am still motivated, which a surprise to me, i usually quit at this time, but level 2 will be a litte harder for me, as i am in Afganistan, there is not much choice as far as diet goes, so i can only focus on portion control, and continueing to so cardio 5-6 days a week.

WHY???

Saturday, September 03, 2011

I Look around me at people in general and wonder why we have let ourselv3es get this way. When did our work, goals and stressors to compete with everyone win out over healthy and just plain feeling great about ourselves, our families and the simplness of life. I continue to try each day, and hope by the time i get home i will have ingrained habits to work out and watch what i eat so i can get back to the every day joy of life. I want to be in control of me, not let society be in charge.

    Hi Tanya,
Everyone has their own ideas about what you're asking, but my own take on it is that it's mostly our food. When we put bad (i.e.processed, additive-ridden, gmo'd) fuel into our bodies, then body & mind just can't cope very easily. Like putting sand in a gas tank, you're not going to get very far.
And it builds up with a cumulative effect, too - so when the next stressor comes along, we're not able to move forward in healthy ways to deal. No wonder we have emotional eating problems and depression!
Just from a personal perspective, my mental clarity & emotional life improved when my diet improved... now I just need to get active & watch portion sizes.
Keep your head up! You can do this!! emoticon

PROUD OF MYSELF

Tuesday, August 30, 2011

It is the start of a great week, i am proud that i can push myself to contiue, i decided trying to make long range goals was too overwhelming and if i screwed up one day, then i just went back into to old habits. I am hoping i can have ingrained habits by the time i get home that i will feel bad if i dont exercise. I will forever keep trying

Slow and Steady win the race. I set small goals and short time goals and it seems a lot easier to me. Good luck and don't get discouraged. You can do it just don give up. emoticon
