i have been home six months and fell completely off the wieght loss wagon. resuming my single mom lifestyle with work and soon, school. i am so disgusted with myself that i have gained all the weight and inches back. I have no will power and find every excuse not to work out. It was so easy to fall back into the same habits. I cant look in the mirror, because i just get depressed. wow, its much harder in everyday life. How i have the willpower and strength to fight for my country but neither to fight for me. I guess the only thing to do is start over again.

Please don't be disgusted with yourself. You're human and you fell. Now get up, dust off, forgive yourself and continue forward. emoticon

I started changing my workout regimen to try to shock my body into hyper mode-some days good, some days bad. My commitment is the same though. i get lots of free advice from people who are fit, some who are not, some who think they are know-all of fitness and health, i take what i can apply and let the rest lay where it lays. I do alot of reading from fitness sites, especially love livestrong.com but i already had a plan to take all my work outs and tracking to a personal trainer when i get home to get some professional advice. The old saying, it didnt take a day to get fat, it will take more than day to get thin- is right on. I hear lots of women talk about wanting to look like the people in magazines-its wont happen. Genetics plays a big role! I will just keep plugging away and working on my lack of discipline for food. That's my biggest challenge here. Make it great day Tanya

Well i look back to Aug 2011 when i started this journey, and although not where i wanted to be by this time, I just keep going, whether we lose big or little, its our own determination that sets that pattern. I am proud of myself for sticking to a weight training program for this long, only took a break when i was sick. I know until i get the snacking under control, the pounds coming off will be a struggle. The new year brings new challenges and struggles to deal with, but i am striving to keep a open mind and positive outlook. Trying to get healthier will never hurt me only make my life better. Good luck to all in the New Year.

i been there done that, my docter said its fine to work out as long as its in your head (no pun intended), and not in your chest and he even said it will help ya to get better faster, but i understand that its hard to do, when i was sick, i just would go and half butt do mine lol..i hope you get to feeling better!..oh BTW it was 2 docs who gave me that info..1 was a cardiologisty and the other was a family doc, and the clinic nutrtionist kindof backed him up..have a good day!

Try not to work out too hard, this can impede you from getting better - Rest is key and when you're all done you can work doubly as hard to get back what you lost. I hope you feel better soon :)
